More sketch cards! Who is this tiny child?I’m taking some time to go back to the writing desk and rework some upcoming scenes. I had originally planned to follow Cheong and Darjoon for a little longer, but I think this is a great point in the story to cut back to see what’s happening with Alvarez, Jhailee, and Kirsheen. More on that as it develops.

Sometimes I think I could make things easier on myself by spacing things out more. Take this page for instance. It could easily be two pages: the first four panels, and then the last three. It gives more room for some of those complicated splashy panels, and it works with the story beats. I went to bed with a bad headache and it swelled into a pretty spectacular migraine. I had planned on having this piece and all it's outfit variants done today, but I just don't think I'm going to hit that deadline. Zooming in on that final panel, I think was an excellent mood intensifier. Visually hammers home that Marehsh and Harode are discussing Cheong. Their conversation is literally happening over her.
