[Real Time Video] 13 HOURS of comics

Now you can literally watch me work on comics all day. Here's some unedited livestream footage with the music ripped out so Youtube doesn't kill me.https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0kXXjm6qLQMhL1aWnvPcVRl2yCE7170I

Gerry Pinup

A watercolor that I'm going to have for sale at conventionsI might print postcards of this one, too. u3uColoring dark skin in watercolor is so hard, damn. My personal tip? Use burnt siena/burnt umber/ultramarine blue and mix on the paper. I also used Payne's gray EVERYWHERE. It could be darker but I know this paper can't handle too many layers...

Behind the scenes - comic page progress

When I first started drawing manga, I drew my pages without planning them. It was a huge mistake. I didn't plan ANYTHING and just started drawing. So my projects always hit a dead end very soon and I abandoned them.I've tried thumbnailing my pages, but I feel like I can't get enough detail on a small scale. So I write my dialogue and ideas, and then sketch the page in my sketchbook and go with the flow. Then I sketch it again on the c...

[Comic Lines] Sam's Breakfast, 1 of 2

Surprise! Here's a comic page. There's been a change of plans and I've planned a few short (1-4 pages) Mitch/Sam comics. These comics will have varying degrees of detail and coloring since I'm trying to figure out which "style" fits me best, looks the best, and takes a realistic amount of time to draw.I swear to god, if I don't finish these I will need someone to get over here and kick my ass.Dialogue translation:Mitch: G...

Important update for $10+ patrons!

So I've been debating this for a while. Starting in March, my sketch rewards will be drawn on A5 sized paper. There are a few reasons for this:- I never use the full "potential" of an A4 page anyway. Busts on A4 seems a bit excessive.- International shipping for A4 costs 3,70€ (national 1,45€). The tier is $10. Out of those $10 I get $9.50 -- that's 8,70€. So after fees and shipping, I'm left with exactly 5€ (or 7,25€...
