Future woodcuts

I think I'm finally done babysitting the laser and so I had time to get these done today. Once my new tape comes in in a week or so the process will become even faster!

Luna/Celestia woodcut blueprints

Hoping to have time to get a first set of these cut tomorrow, but we shall see.

Larger woodcut

It took 8 hours of engraving and no small amount of fiddling with settings, but here she is, a larger etched piece.

viw post Woodcut image and attempts from patreon

I spent a great deal of my day trying to make the image above work in the laser's ancient and unsupportable software. What came out is not what I intended (it took the laser three hours to cut it and it is quite small) but hopefully tomorrow's attempt is more successful.

Passing off the collaboration

Here's my part for a shadowbox collaboration. I'll be sure to update when the shadowbox itself is done.

Canyon Willow

Finally done with this piece! A 'fall in texas' theme gone awry. It didn't turn out quite as I'd like, but that's art for you.

Engraved woodcut

I have an engraving laser! After several days of repair, troubleshooting, setup and bad Chinese software it is finally in working order. Pictured here is the first complete not burning a hole in the wood image from the laser and also a test of precision. Future images will have thicker lines and hopefully some gradient work as well.In the coming days/weeks I hope to work towards and create new patreon rewards as well as have a new product for con...

Samurai Twilight Comic 9

Twice a month now! Link: http://sta.sh/225rfgd99xgfI'm going to hold off on tutorial videos until the first month past goal 2 processes payment. This will give me time to get the infrastructure together for the video process. Also, I am considering moving my video livestreams to some time later in the evening as it would be more convenient for others to attend. Leave feedback if this is or is not better for you!

Sam twi temple panel

Technically from the update *after* next but its done so have at.

Sam Twi panel 3

Japan in the spring

And the winner is... so far its a mix of seasonal and national and what better nation to start with than the one for samurai twi.Trying to work out a composition that can be built up to a professional feeling level. This one still has a ways to go but I'm taking my time and rearranging things with it so it can reach a little higher. Also samurai twi panel sketch should be in the downloads. Let me know if not.

Samurai twi spike panel

A part of today's balanced artfast. Samurai twi panels will be coming more often now that its twice a month and I'm happy about that.

No set times due to unpredictable schedules but I'll shoot for starting 4PM Eastern time. Wednesday's livestream will be more general while Friday's will be the tutorial with efforts to become/record youtube videos. There will be exception weeks when days are moved due ...

Gilda - A little hope

Its a bit rough around the edges but I'm exploring a different way of rendering and putting things together. Its a little faster and if I can explore some more complex compositions in the future it should work out well.

New Goal Reached! and voting.

Woo! We're at the $200 mark. This means that Samurai Twilight will now update twice a month instead of just monthly. It also means that there will be a new livestream in addition to the weekly 'just working' stream. This livestream will include time for tutorials/demonstration on art and art learning which will then be posted to youtube for all to learn from.I am going to try setting up a regular weekly schedule for livestreams. In the...
