Full-Res Version of "Commission: KelchanFerret (Keep Your Distance)"

He's an angery ottah!

Sketch WIP for "Commission: KelchanFerret (Keep Your Distance)"

I did the BG in red this time because the background was going to be predominantly red-orange. :P Also originally the mouse was this size, but he was revised to be smaller after being shown to the commissioner.

Full-Res Version of "Commission: Erzaad's Reference Sheet"

Inking the scales on this guy was probably one of the more challenging things I've done this year, art wise. I couldn't be as careless with them as I thought. x_x

Sketch WIP for "Commission: Erzaad's Reference Sheet"

The scales were originally simplified with these crosshatched marks!

Full-Res Version of "Commission: Opifexcontritio (Ivory Fire)"

As you can see, I'm phasing out that grain/noise texture that I used for almost everything the past year or so. I'll still be using it for certain kinds of artwork, like airbrushed artwork, but I agreed with some feedback that it made my cel-shaded pieces look a bit compressed.

Ferris Meets Robin Hood (Full-Res)

Credits to Robin Liffner for the idea, who suggested it to my Patreon's suggestion box!

Sketch WIP of "Commission: Opifexcontritio (Ivory Fire)"

Originally this commission was supposed to just be this, sketch with cel shading, but turns out there was a mistake on the form and the person wanted it to be all colored after all. It's nice to have Patreon to show this off - what could have been. I find this style pretty appealing. X3

Little Runt Progress (Page 3)

I just finished doing the tiedown sketch for page 3. There's a big crowd shot so this will probably take more time to ink and color than the first two pages combined. I'll be working on it when I can, but hopefully I'll have it out in under a week! Some pages like this are denser in detail than others. They're the primary reason I don't have a posting schedule right now, because some pages are simple enough that I could whip th...

Full-Res Version of "The Final Boss of Breakfast"

It's bigger! AAAAAAAAAAAA

Sketch WIP of "The Final Boss of Breakfast"

This was the original sketch before I tied it down!

Sketch WIP of "Little Runt (Page 2)"

The original sketch! Originally I had some building shapes in the background, but once I got into coloring I thought they didn't break up the background enough and were competing with Nestle for focal point dominance, so I made it bare trees instead! That also helped emphasize the time of year (February).

PREVIEW: "The Final Boss of Breakfast"

I'll be posting this sometime this week. Here's a sneak peek for Tier IV+ patrons!I drew this back almost six months ago, but never posted it for some reason. Looking at it again, it came out good enough to share, heh. Background: This is me and a friend of mine hanging out last summer. He was visiting from Spain, and I took him to a famous local diner for breakfast. It's famous for a reason: they give you a TON of food. Tons of eggs, ...

Full-Res Version of "Commission: AJ-The-Fox (Oversized)"

Gasp, they're bigger!

Sketch WIP for "Commission: AJ-The-Fox (Oversized)"

Gasp, no color! They're basically naked!

I fixed a mistake with today's post!

I accidentally uploaded the resized version of the sketch instead of the full-res version as advertised. It's MUCH bigger now. Sorry about that!

Full-Res Version of "Commission: GrumpyVentrexian (Celebration!)"

This was the bonus sketch I did for him, for overpaying a bit on the background!

Full-Res Version of "Commission: GrumpyVentrexian (Cold Lager Hot Day)"

Here's the full version of the painting, so now you can zoom in and see all the details!

Base Color WIP for "Commission: GrumpyVentrexian (Cold Lager Hot Day)"

When I start paintings, I generally do a base layer like this where I have all the colors in place, and hints of shadow. This helps me assess more easily where colors need to be, and gives me a nice color palette to sample from like a real painter. Usually I got darker with the shadows than I did here, but I was in a rush and forgot to do another pass for the darker areas. It worked out, though!

Firstly, thank you to all of you guys for being early supporters for my first month on Patreon! I'm still kind of shocked to see how many people signed up for my highest tier haha. Sketch WIP for "Commission: GrumpyVentrexian (Cold Lager Hot Day)"

I tend to do my backgrounds in blue ink, as you can see here.

Full Version of "Commission: Captain Moya's Reference Sheet"

This is 4,000 pixels wide - over double what was posted!

How am I doing so far? (One Month on Patreon!)

Hey guys! I'll keep this short and sweet. If I haven't already said it enough, thank you again for all of your support. It means a lot to me!Secondly, I just wanted to ask how I've been doing running this Patreon so far? Are you guys satisfied? For those of you who are part of multiple patreons, am I doing well in comparison to the others? I want to make sure that what I'm doing is worth it to you guys and you're getting value...

Little Runt (Page 2)

And here is page 2 of Little Runt, shown a week early as promised! :3Some pages will be full-page illustrations like this - this is the first of four. Additionally, some moments will have no dialogue, because I fully believe that sometimes silence can say everything.
