Chapter 64 Tail's Mission

Chapter 64The meeting was over. It turned out the contents of the meeting were more serious than I expected. I wondered if it was appropriate for students. Still, Edelweiss assured us that the elves have nothing to hide. Hence, they were comfortable sharing them among the students in lords curriculum. I praised their honesty as Lily seemed pleased with the elves' behavior. As we were given a task directly by the king, Lily asked if our curricu...

Chapter 63 Diplomatic Tail

Chapter 63 Diplomatic TailHe sat down without speaking, and everyone looked at him in awe. His body was still fit despite looking old. I wondered if he was a master swordsman like Ghander.“I am sad to announce that the Northlangard expedition will be halted indefinitely. The discussion with the humans fell apart. However, please keep your soldiers battle-ready. The undead does not care about politics.” The king announced. Everyone was shocked...

Chapter 62: Debating Tails

Chapter 62"Your joke was not funny in the least. Please study harder." The central nobles sipped their tea as they cursed us."Well, your joke was not funny too. Saying that the tailfolk needed to take Northlangard by themselves. Why do we need to thank you for saving us when you literally ordered us to die? You should know how much peril assaulting undead lands should be." Lily mimicked them by also sipping her tea. The atmosphere...

Chapter 61 Tailing Debate

Chapter 61 Tailing DebateThe dining hall was massive, even though there were less than thirty students there. Among the round tables scattered around, there was a rectangular table that hosted the lords. We sat down at our respective round tables. In contrast, the lords sat at the rectangular table, seemingly discussing something essential. As I pondered about it, Ghander came and joined them. Edelweiss followed twenty minutes later. Ghander made ...

Chapter 60: Lord's Tail Curriculum

Chapter 60The next day we had a swordsmanship lesson. The lesson was merged with swordsmanship classes, and we were taught how to command. This command lesson was also covered in Synctail academy; Lily was no exception. Most classes preferred to talk among themselves instead of listening to the teachers. Weirdly, the teachers were fine with it. They didn't reprimand or scold them.Only Lily took the lesson seriously. The others preferred to ta...

Chapter 59 Tailking To Nobles

Chapter 59 Tailking To NoblesSana, whose room was next to Lily's, started to brew some crude tea, and while we sat down, she poured it while Alith was preparing some biscuits."You only have 2 attendants, Lord Lily?" Elvira asked."Yes. I graduated in a hurry. I was given land, after all." Lily smiled."Yes. I apologize for my haste. I simply wanted to meet and greet you. Your fame preceded you here in Hoeth. Rhegar, the patr...

Chapter 58 Tea Tail's Time

Chapter 58"Lord Lily," Sarielle greeted us. We are currently riding a carriage. The carriage was moving at a comfortable walking pace, so we simply made Lily's horse our pack mule."Sarielle? I didn't know you were a lord." Lily tilted her head since Sarielle unexpectedly joined us with the merchant caravans."I am not a lord, but Lord Edelweiss ordered me to take lord's curriculum to help her on her duty. Sarielle a...

Chapter 57 Tail Graduation

Chapter 57 Tail GraduationTwo months flew by just like that, and even with the addition of full military training, Lily managed to blaze through all of them. All that's left is Magic Training. Lily was given the water ring, which contained a tiny water-aligned feystone in it. Many students dropped out of the magic curriculum since second grade. Now, we were left with less than 20 students choosing different magic rings. Most of the other stud...

Chapter 56 Tail's Objection

Chapter 56 Tail's Objection"Come on, guys. The target is as big as Mr. Gabel here. Why can't you hit anything!" Sarielle sighed."Let's make it a bit closer?" another elf tried to make a suggestion."It was only 50 meters. If it was any closer, then swords would be more effective!"Only Gabel and three other tailfolk who had experience with bows managed to hit the target. The rest of us missed the mark."Mr. Ga...

Chapter 55 Archery Tailning

Chapter 55 Archery Tailning"If we continue at this rate of learning our lesson. we would only need three months to finish the entire curriculum for Sinctail Academy!" Lily muttered. "I wonder how much reduction we will receive among our one million gold debt!""Yeah!" We are in our final year of swordsmanship and Mathematics in just two months at Sinctail academy. I suffered during reading poems and writing prose during our...

If we passed year one curricula for etiquette and year 4 for others,...

Chapter 53 Synctail Academy Part 2

Chapter 53The next day, we were given an itinerary for our lesson. The first would be the sword skill test, reading, writing, magic, mathematics, and basic etiquette. Lithe told us that we could take the test immediately to pass the lesson but doing so would deprive us of our chances to make friends, so she was firmly against it.However, Lily was determined to blaze through her lessons so that she would get charged less for the tuition fee. She c...

Chapter 52: Synctail Academy Part 1

Chapter 52“I am tired….” Lily whined less than a week after opening the town hall and becoming a de facto owner of Edenthal Region.“I am the one that’s working. Why are you complaining!” I shrugged her complaints. Lily could not read; thus, all administrative work fell to me as her tail. Instructing her to hold the pen and sign the papers was difficult.“I don’t want to be a lord….” Lily whined further.“You want to let other ...

Chapter 48 Despairing Tail

Chapter 48"Thirty million?" Lily tilted her head."It is a thousand times more than the twenty thousand gold for your clothes, Lily," I whispered in exasperation. She didn't have the mathematic skill and had never heard the word " million " before."WHAT!!" Lily stood up in shock. Her eyes widened at the realization of her debt. Her response was delayed compared to mine since I understood the word the bureaucrats...

Chapter 51: Tail Administration

Chapter 51"Oh, before your departure, This is a letter for Sinctail Academy. Please attend the academy next week." Edelweiss replied. "Regarding your tuition and allowances, I have asked the government to give you some lenience. You may visit them on your way out."Another debt?" Lily gave a harsh glare to her."It can't be helped that you need to know many things, and it is not free. The academy was infamous as the plac...

Chapter 50: Lord's Mentaility

Chapter 50Lhorne advised us to come back here tomorrow and prepared a horse. We needed to depart to Regoia and ask Edelweiss about Edenthal Region's debt. And so, we did just that. The next afternoon, with Lhorne and Nora in tow, we asked for Edelweiss' audience at her manor in Regoia. The journey was quicker than expected. Mattheus also came, but he was refused entry and thus waited at the inn Lhorne had already paid for.She surprisingly ...

Chapter 49: Tail Companion Part 2

Chapter 49“Lily! I looked everywhere for you!” Lhorne came into the town’s hall office at sunset. Mattheus and Nora were with him.“Lily! What happened? Why are you crying?” Nora came near as she took a handkerchief from Lhorne and wiped Lily’s tears.“Here…” She gave out the book the elf previously left us.“WHAT!! This is insane! 30 million debt?!” Mattheus and Nora shouted.“What’s the meaning of this! Lhorne!”“There ...

Chapter 47: Massive Tail Debt

The following day, Lily was dozing off with Edelweiss on the horse. We were walking back to Regoia, which solicited a few curious gazes from others. We were supposed to be refreshed after a full day's rest back in reminiscence, but Edelweiss still looked tired."What time did you sleep, Lily?" Lhorne finally asked."Mmm… Huh? What?" Lily dazed off with a blank look."Does Reminiscence have a poor inn service to you?" Jo...
