Aw, the krovns still had no set designs at this point. You can see Bones has a generic head model and he has Loudkill's nicks in his ears. I only knew I wanted those eye markings for him.The roles were a bit different here too: Instead of the black krovn, Flintpelt, grabbing Nero, it was Starlust, the purple one who in the final thing takes over after Flintpelt gets his brow wrecked by Nero's antler. I'm 99% sure I haven't posted this before but I'll be very embarrassed if I have!I drew this wayyy back but couldn't post it because krovns were still shown as one dimensional monsters, and then I forgot! Anyway, it's the dude who got his brow slammed by Nero's antlers, and his mate Slybite who found it all very funny.
OSPREY portraits - June
Only one again! That means four in July.For all Osprey pledgers, this month I'd love it if you could send your refs as soon as possible! This is because I'm currently in middle of moving and it might take time for me to get my setup in place, and I'd prefer to get to work immediately when I can. I always send reminders about refs at some point of the month but this month it'd help me a lot if you could do it asap!

Prue and Gitta are background characters so there's not much light shed on their backgrounds (heh), but as per usual, I know what they're all about! Basically, it's a tradition that god-callers pass their knowledge to younger generations to keep it going, but this knowledge is mostly reserved for deer who 'deserve it'. Our mean girls Prue and Gitta very much wanted to be fabled god-callers, but in the end they didn't have ...

Phew, the page where Kasko gets mauled by the buck was difficult for me. It was so difficult that I installed a mod on Red Dead Redemption 2 that let me play as a horse so I could run down cliffs and take screenshots of the falling/stumbling/landing poses for reference.2021 huh... That was so long ago, too.

Of course she's a main character. π€Chapter done! It was a fun one for me, but it demanded maybe the most behind the scenes work I've had to do till now, with designing the stonekrovn breed that has more apparent lore than many others. And the amount of antlers I had to model, designs, names, all those action scenes, THE SEER... But I had fun! And I'm so happy you seemed to like it too!You know the drill, it'll be a month before...
