still bakin' dat cake
We're in the home stretch now! Maybe another half day of painting tomorrow and this will be done.In all truth, I'm not superthrilled with Crowley's posture (it looks so silly!), so I have to keep reminding myself that I need to squeeze this image into a subreddit banner (short and loooooong). Necessary sacrifices had to be made.Anyway, I'm putting Crowley eating ass with his snake tongue on the tippy top of every single page on /r...

Hard mode challenge: Crowley has to finish eating the cake before Aziraphale does. These are sketches for my remodel of AfterDark for September! The top two sketches are rejected poses, the bottom sketch (badumtss 🥁) is the composition I'm moving forward with.
OSAH Director's Cut
OKAY SO HEAR ME OUT.Cem said: "I was just thinking that a completely fic-accurate Crowley would have about seventeen different hickeys in various stages of healing."And that gave me BIG FEELINGS because OMG how could I miss out on the chance to give Rennie Crowley exactly seventeen different hickeys for the Director's Cut?So I opened up Photoshop and gave him exactly seventeen different hickeys.Look at the inside of that man's thi...

Crowley Cosplay at The Ineffable Con 5
GREETINGS FROM LONDON, QONTINUUM!Here is some documentary evidence of my Crowley cosplay(s) that I wore at TIC5!The first two days of the Con were modern Crowley. I sewed the vest myself, tailored the jacket, made the belt, airbrushed the heels of my snakey boots, and spent six and a half hours in a salon chair getting my hair 666 Red for this cosplay! A smashing success, I thought! On the third day of the Con I went as slutty Crowley with snakey ...
Art Process (Line Art and Color Flats) - July '24 NSFW Continuum Exclusive
How do we feel about tan lines?(Still haven't drawn the cock yet, I know, I know.)At this stage in the game, the broad composition of the piece as a whole is settled. And with the line art done, very little of the character pose/anatomy will change between this and the final piece, because redoing line art is a royal pain in the ass.So with the basic structure of the piece in place, I've started adding color flats.Color flats are layers o...
Random WIP because I'm hype
Just love how this bit is turning out in the lineart. All the hands and feet!Three posts in one day. I'm not sorry at all.
Art Process (Pose Composition!) - July '24 NSFW Continuum Exclusive
TWO POSTS IN ONE DAY? WHAT IS THIS? PRODUCTIVITY??? ON MYPATREON?So here is the (basic) process for working out poses and anatomy in the context of a larger composition. I'm not going to go in depth on How to Anatomy here because that is a post (hell, a book---an entire undergraduate course) all on its own. But hopefully this shows how I think about working up poses and the considerations I make at this stage of the piece.Composition resource...
Art Process (Background!) - July '24 NSFW Continuum Exclusive
So for this first NSFW Continuum Exclusive, I thought I might try my hand at documenting the whole art process from start to finish. Here's where it begins -- the idea and some research. In this case, the idea was "[my] take on a tropical island, palms and ocean waves" with our Ineffable Lads.I usually open an initial canvas in Photoshop and use it as an idea board. I'll write notes to myself ("Coconuts!"), collect some ima...
South Downs detail shots
Couldn't upload it all in one post, so here are the detail shots, separately!
In the South Downs
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN IN THE WORKS FOR SO LONG. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.Waaaaaaay back in March, I signed up for Jvmes (https://twitter.com/justajvmes)and Useless White Crayon's (https://twitter.com/crayon_useless)Ineffable Husbands Through History project. The goal is to make one MASSIVE timeline of art that documents every iteration of the lads, with each era painted by a different artist. I was assigned the very last piece: a speculative Sou...
August 2024 NSFW Exclusive Poll
ALRIGHT CONTINUUM!You've shared your ideas for what you'd like to see. Now it's time to vote and let the democratic process decide!IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING OPTION 2:If the "Explicit scene from Of Fire and Falcons" wins, it would only be semi-exclusive to Patrons due to the nature of the content, because they aren't my characters. I would -eventually- need to publicly release this art.
