Samurai
By popular demand, I read something about things like kamishimo, tabi and tō, and here's my version of supportless samurai. Grab both in the repository, one is also on Thingiverse.Coming right up - kabuto, sode, kusazuri - I mean, armoured version.
Scorpio warriors
Androctonus crassicauda, or the Arabian fat-tailed scorpion, is dangerous even when it's a few centimeters long, so you can imagine how fearsome it can be when it's the size of an ATV. Only the bravest (or the craziest) warrios of the Scorpio clan can use it as a mount. This model is inspired by a comment from Patron Auston. Get them (both with and without a rider) in the repository (new link!), the spearman on foot is also on Thingiverse...
Harpies
Here come the ladies. Long slim necks, abundant bosom and some attitude. Might be NSFW in some conservative areas. Loosely based on a sculpture on a 19th century tenement house. Grab them (before they grab you and tear you to pieces) both in the repository, one is also on Thingiverse.Thank you for your continuous support!Next - a middle eastern mounted unit.
Intermission
"...and that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped"I was very sorry to hear the sad news about Terry Jones, who passed away a few days ago. I decided to pay homage to the great Python by quickly sculpting a miniature of one of the characters he played in The Holy Grail, Sir Bedevere. It's available for all on Thingiverse.Last few days have been full of throwing stuff at my Ender 3, but after dismantling the hotend an...
She-elves
I think everybody agrees that female elves are the main reason teenage boys become fans of fantasy.I've been having some problems with nasty evenly spaced banding on my Ender 3, causing a delay in this release. Seems to be fixed after tightening wheels under the bed and the X axis belt, however I'm still experiencing weird random artifacts, probably due to underextrusion. I hope these two print without such problems for you. Get them in t...
Ghouls
Here's a pair of ghouls, to keep you company during those picturesque strolls on a cemetary or an old battlefield. They used to be telemarketers, but had higher aspirations. As usual, both are in the repository, and one of them is on Thingiverse. Thanks to your support I donated part of my last month's Patreon earnings to the biggest charity event we have here, The Grand Finale of The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, which has been bu...
Elven Archers
Finally, some non-humans. Those long-eared, tall, beautiful creatures. Some people say they are divine and don't have rectums (I'm sorry the models are not detailed enough to verify that information). You can find both in the repository (new address!), and one is also on Thingiverse.I hope that jumping between different types/races/themes in each release is ok with you. I will be definitely coming back to soldiers, goblins, oriental model...
Moving East
So, since I'm getting more and more signals that it would be good to see more ethnic diversity and include models related to Asia, I will be looking into that direction as well. One step at a time - first let's visit the Middle East. Two saracen warriors in the repository, one of them on Thingiverse.Thank you for all your continuous support this year, all the best to you all in the year Twenty-Twenty!Next up - some non-humans.
Merchant and standard bearer
Something for the battlefield and for townsfolk. A standard bearer and a merchant. Both are in the repository, merchant available for all on Thingiverse. The merchant/nobleman is loosely based on a sculpture found on one of the old tenement houses in Lodz, Poland. You might have noticed that a few models I made so far were based on local architectural details of Lodz, Poland. This is where I live. And, incidentaly, this is where the creator of the ...
Kids
You have to be careful with your kids. If you don't pay enough attention they might end up on the street, if you're too protective, they might start wearing weird clothes and casting spells.A boy magician inspired by a Patron's suggestion and an urchin are both available in the repository.Recently I've been spending much time on testing different filaments, and I'm still not happy with the print quality. The beige filament is ...
Adventurers
That exciting moment when you're entering a dungeon for the first time...This pair of adventurers comes as individual models (the male is available for all on Thingiverse) and as small pieces of diorama that can be hung on your tree, if you have one. Because you know, it's that season and all. Get them in the repository.
Bandits
Bandits, brigands, deserters, marauders or just poorly paid soldiers. All available in the repository, with bases and baseless. The spearman and swordsman are available for all on Thingiverse.I created a group on Facebook to discuss all matters related to my minis, feel free to join!
Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
Twas brillig, and the slithy tovesDid gyre and gimble in the wade; All mimsy were the borogoves,And the mome raths outgrabeHere are supportless Jabberwock and Alice, inspired by the illustration from Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There" from 1871.Both models are up in the repository (new address!), and Alice is available for all on Thingiverse.I'm struggling a bit with my new PLA, it definitely ne...
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch
"...with eyes of flame,Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,And burbled as it came!"A sneak peek of something I'm working on right now and will be releasing soon.Thank you for your ongoing support, and a warm hello to all new Patrons!
Skeleton archers
I have to admit that I never liked the idea of skeletons using bows. How do they hit anything without eyeballs? Yeah, yeah, I know, evil magic. But if you've ever tried to nock an arrow then it'll make you wonder how those skellies manage to do it with their bony fingers.Anyway, here is a skeleton archer in chainmail and a variant with helmet.
Horsemen
Here are the the first support-free mounted units - a bard and a soldier with spear - available now in the repository. Here's a video of how they are printed on my Ender 3.Coming up next - skeleton archers.
Support-free horse.
When I began making minis for 3d printing, I had two things in mind - that the minis are table-ready when taken off the printer bed and that no extra filament is wasted. I never liked supports and all the extra hassle with removing it. Well, the supportless models always need some basic cleanup (and, well, painting) but at least one can avoid throwing away all that support material. I still haven't finished the filament spool installed in Jun...
Goblin slingers
This smaller breed of goblins is armed with primitive, yet quite annoying ranged weapon - the sling. Do not underestimate these stone hurling urchins. Both variants avaliable in the repository, and one on Thingiverse.
More Dwarves
Here's some more dwarves - inspired by another architectural detail, a metal dwarf that used to guard gateways to tenement houses (to keep them from being hit by a carriage wheel). An axeman and an armoured variant with sword.Happy Patrons Day! I can't thank you enough for your support. I have to admit, I'm behind my own schedule, I planned to release a supportless mount model on this day, but still I need a few more days. There are a...
Imps
No self-respecting demonologist can go without one. Or two.Imps, tiny demonic minions, to help you in your daily chores. Inspired by a sculpture on a tenement house in Łódź, Poland. One hornless and a horned variant.Have a great day!
Doctor, doctor
Well, I have been sick for a few days now. An exeptionally nasty form of tonsillitis, which left me incapacitated for a few days, when I practically couldn't eat, drink or sleep. So I needed to make myself a doctor. And in case the fancy town doctor couldn't fix me, the village variant - the blacksmith - had to do. And it helped, I got better (or it could have been the strong antibiotic, who knows), although I still need a few more days of...
Dwarves
It's always good to look around and up for new inspiration. I based this Dwarf porter loosely on an atlant sculpture found on a beautiful Art-Noveau villa located in Łódź, Poland . There will be more fantasy creatures minis based on interesting architectural details. The porter is up for all on Thingiverse, and both together with the variant with axe are in the repository (new link!).
Arise!
Without an evil mind that controls them, skeletons are just a pile of bones. So here's a necromancer to animate them. He's available for all at Thingiverse, and a variant - a wizard/mage - is in the repository. There's also new folder in the repository with all the recent Thingiverse models.Plans for November - more humans and goblins, dwarves and other!
Skeletons!
Here's the Halloween pack of support-free skeletons, it's available in the repository.Part of the pack is available for all on Thingiverse. All print without supports, when printing on FDM you'll probably need to reduce the nozzle temperature to 190 degrees (for PLA) to avoid problems with stringing at the slim bone parts.Let me know how they print for you and report any problems.Have fun!
Two bards
Here's a model based on one of the suggestions and an aged variant. The old bard can be found on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3923026The young one is in the Repository.Have a great weekend!

Inspirations
While I'm away travelling, I'm trying to find new inspirations for sculpting. And there are plenty around!
A thug and a soldier.
Time for a brawl between humans.Thug: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3877039The soldier can be found in the repository.I'm going away for almost two weeks now, taking my sketchbook with me to draw some new ideas. See you back again in October!
The Crossbowmen and the bishop
So, I started to turn your ideas into minis, six of them. Let me know what you think about them! Sadly, I did not have the time to paint them yet.Three of the six can be found on Thingiverse:Battle Priest: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3871183Crossbowman: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3871259Wilhelm Tell: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3871201The 3 variants are available in the Five Bucks Club repository.
