Leise Pieselt das Reh
A more seasonal piece for Wyoryn. Skadi, the anthro snep, is nuzzling awake the feral tiger Mokka. Very cute names, and with the great amount of fluff at play I really couldn't help but make it a winter forest scene. Gentle warmth comes back in via the angled, pinkish morning light. The picture took a few attempts, but ended up pretty satisfying :)

For Crimson! I don't know if this is factually correct, but this picture might be my first time using duplicates to show movement . . . The task at hand was to show the downward impact, specifically on the front portion of the dragon's lower jaw. Sketched a lot of angles :)

To sell prints at Eurofurence, I needed to get a paper guillotine. The service I used printed everything on A4 sheets (about 8.3 x 11.4 in.) I also got A4 sleeves and backing board. I struggled with this one. So many sketches and ideas, so many changes in direction. But the image shows it better than I can say. Sometimes you try to push yourself, but all you manage is to hurt. The older ideas were meant to be more ferocious, maybe even painful (for Theo, November seems to be fine :) I decided that what this picture needed most was finishing, and that relief was much needed.
