this watercolor canvas paper really holds water well. no buckling at all
blossoming
i did a bunch of sketches today to add some more variety rather then just finishing up old projects. im also thinking that i just get up to the simple flat colors on these and then release them after a few weeks as advertisement images to try and get more interest in my sites as i still have not done much to get new people interested
oddettes village update
a friend of mine told me that if you mix rubbing alcohol with acrylics it helps smooth it out. i tried mixing it with acrylic ink and it made it feel like markers but dried WAY too fast for what i was doing
oddette's village update
when painting with the yellow it felt like i was painting with melted butter....made me want to have some popcorn
oddettes village
im hoping the next few days i will get time enough to make normal sized posts again
Oddettes village update
sooo much purple. im still trying to catch up on posts
fox and knight update
it has gotten a bit hectic around here again so im trying to get as much done as i can
censhi inks updated
sorry things got a little hectic over here and im trying to get back on track
breed world update
i had an idea for coloring a breed world page digitally. it needs some more shadows and highlights but i am quite pleased with it so far
horror sketches
today i worked on commissions mostly but in some down time i did some horror styled sketches as we are getting closer to October
ceninks
after a couple of tries i got down my process for these. after i print out the digital sketch at very low resolution i go over it with a 2H pencil, adding in the details i want to just hint at. then i go over the lines i want darker with a 2B. then i add in the shadows (this time in purple) and THEN i finish up the color
fox and knight update
happy painting noises
Mina Mishra update
sexy bootay but still need to fix the color
censhi pencils
and the second set for fox and knight
traditional censhi
i printed out the line work for "fox and knight" censhi and re did them in pencil. i plan to use my acrylic ink for color
Mina Mishra update

fox and knight update
(singing) IIIII WANT CANDY !!
fox and knight update
thinking about what i wrote yesterday. the inking part is more fun if its the final step for color like with blossom. when its the underpainting i want to be fast loose and "general" just giving myself an indication of what colors i will need and where my lights and darks will be
fox and knight update
one of my online friends said this set looks like its made of candy. and yeah i can see that but now the fun part begins. the gouache part
digital painting exercise
i looked up some traditional oil painting demonstrations about the color areas of the face and tried to apply them to a digital painting
fox and knight update
is there a song called "purple sky"? because i feel there should be. and the further along these get the more i feel some 70s "trippy music" should be playing
fox and knight update
it will all come together when the lighting and rain is added near the end
fox an knight update
more wilding color
fox and knight update
getting down some more wild colors. now it looks rather pink due to my scanner saturating up the reds so near the end i will color shift just a tad towards the blues to the purple in the sky looks right
Mina Mishra update
added a burnt sienna wash but Simmone wants her more sepia then green so now i move on to the acryla gouache section to sepia-fy Miss Mishra
purple skies
i have been wanting to paint with my inks and acryla so much that i grabbed a bunch of the pencils from the folios i didn't finish so i can start laying down some color. these are going to be CRAZY when im done with them so buckle up and keep you eyes peeled
blossom washing
wonderful acrylic inks done
misha messup and restart
i messed up the colors for the first image so i reprinted the base lines again and instead of inking i finished the linework in pencil then i took a lot more time putting down the colors to get a lot closer to what i originally envisioned. i need to add a few more washes of ink before i move to the acryla gouache stage
