Tried a slightly "softer" shading by using a bit less of the lasso tool and doing more freehand shadows this time. Really happy how this one turned out!

As much as I enjoyed the face grab in the alternative sketch I really needed Astarion in a tall imposing pose for this one LOL might recycle that for something else in the future though.Sharing the process for the finished picture mainly because I thought this was an interesting example of sometimes having several sketches before ever starting on linework.As you can see in the gif, three were necessary here.
