Livestreaming Evil Inc After Dark
Come keep me company as I work on the next Evil Inc After Dark page. Beware, though—heavy spoilers ahead! As always, don't post questions/comments here because I won't be monitoring this page. Join us on the chat on the YouTube page instead.
Cape Carnival After Dark
Earlier, a Patreon backer said...“I enjoy your Cape Carnival stuff and your After Dark stuff. Any chance of getting a Cape Carnival After Dark?”After initially dismissing it, I then proceeded to fill about four sketchbook pages with ideas. I can't promise this is going to be an ongoing thing, but I do need to exorcise those demons from my sketchbook.

Here's a look at some of the things on my drawing board this week.
AMA — Going from traditional media to online
Q.: What was it like mentally and emotionally going from more traditional media to mainly web and Patreon?A.: My comics career has been pretty much web-centric since the beginning — when I started posting Greystone Inn on a GeoCities site in 2000. (You have to be really old to get that reference.) There was a brief period of self-syndication to newspapers, but it never amounted to much. The Philadelphia Daily News carried it for several years (...
Evil Inc After Dark #31, Page 2
As I said in the most recent AMA column......Octo Lad — was created on the fly. I realized I needed an extra person in the locker room as I was pencilling the scene. And since all of the other characters were humanoid, I figured it would be nice to add a non-humanoid mutant to the mix. So I free-associated my way to Octo Lad.As I was inking him, I realized what Multiplex points out in Panel Two. I had only given Octo Lad seven visible tentacles...
NSFW Commission
When one of my Patreon backers found out that the Giggler had funhouse mirrors on her bedroom ceiling, they knew what their next commission would be.
Hugo Awards
The Hugo Awards have opened up their nominating process, and I figured I'd alert any backers who are either attending this year's World Science Fiction Convention (or are otherwise eligible to nominate). I'd be thrilled if you'd consider including Evil Inc among your nominations/The category that would best fit Evil Inc would Best Graphic Story. The most recent graphic novel, Evil Inc: Under New Management, was published in the ap...
Courting Disaster — swipe left
Looks like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate wasn't the only developers who added a Piranha Plant to their line-up recently.

Cape Carnival
Poor Johnny Storm. He's the member of the Fantastic Four most likely to get an STD, and the one least likely to notice the symptoms. If this physician asks for a sample, the doctor is doomed.

AMA: What's in a name?
Q.: What's the inspiration you use when creating a new character? Follow up: how do you go about naming them and creating a color scheme for them?A.: That first question is a little difficult to answer, because new characters get created for any number of reasons. Some are created for a specific situation —like a plot point that a story requires. Others are created to play a certain role in the overall storyline of Evil Inc that gets told o...
Evil Inc After Dark #31, Page 1
Longtime readers may recognize the name "Mental Ben" from an older Evil Inc strip. He was one of Oscar's classmates. Before you ask... this is not an indication that Oscar (or Oliver) are part of the rebooted universe. They're not. I just liked the name "Mental Ben" for a super with mental powers. This was originally going to be a one-shot, but I had so much fun I decided to do one additional page (which may turn into two)....

Part of me wants to rename this "Cumming Attractions," and part of me is kinda proud that I haven't resorted to the Come/Cum pun that's kinda ubiquitous in porn. Convince me that I'm wrong. Or right.Meanwhile... I kinda got inspired by the college-aged mutants studying at a private school for the gifted. So this week's EiAD one-shot is going to be followed by another brief standalone story in which these twenty-somethings ...

You may remember Lightning Lady — in her Santa's helper outfit — had surprised a single father under the Christmas tree. This Legion of Arch Nemeses member used their reward to commission a follow-up scene in which Lightning Lady surprises the man at work.
