Generally, growing up, I did all the cleaning, even cleaning her room for her well into our adulthood. It took a lot of growing to learn how to stop doing things for other people that they can and SHOULD be doing for themselves.
Today, I let that all go. I cleaned everything. The windows, floors, microwave, dishes, and I even deep cleaned the fridge. It was a gift to have her come home to a clean house and see her smile. Itโs like I said, if I canโt be happy, maybe I can help others to be.
I havenโt gotten to my messages yet, just a few I read this morning. I chose to clean the house for my sister instead. The outpouring of love Iโve received in the messages I saw is too much to put into words. Iโm humbled and honestly, slightly embarrassed. I didnโt post the life update to garner sympathy. Itโs just the truth of my life recently. Saying it all out loud and releasing it to the world has helped. Thank you for letting me share my life with you and for holding space for me.
