Hetaira is a woman in ancient Greece who was distinguished by education and refinement. She was not just a courtesan, but rather a companion with intelligence and charisma, able to conduct conversations at the level of philosophical discussions. Hetaerae were often muses for artists and poets.
They mastered the art of music, dance and singing, and were also known for their ability to conduct witty and meaningful dialogue. Unlike ordinary women of that time, hetaerae had greater freedom and independence; they could own property and participate in some social events.
In the history of ancient Greece, there were several famous personalities who are known for their connections with hetairai. These include Socrates, Pericles, Alcibiades. According to some sources, Plato and Aristotle also had a connection with the hetairai.
I will share my thoughts, feelings, my beauty and talents. I'm interested in deep conversations on various topics concerning the world, people, art, music, history and philosophy.
