A long time ago the ancient Merya tribe lived in the places where I now live. Presumably, after the 11th century, their culture was assimilated and they gradually disappeared as an independent people π¬οΈ
It's interesting that in the places where the Merya tribes lived, βBlue Stonesβ revered by ancient pagans were found everywhere (they were called that because during the rain their color changed from gray to blue)
There is an assumption that the name βblueβ of the cult stones of the Merya is associated with the name Ukko, the supreme deity of thunder in Finnish mythology, who had the nickname βBlue Capeβ (Sinivitta)
The clouds behind me today are also blueβ¦
Who knows, maybe the ancient Merya tribe still dances at their sanctuaries, sending prayers to Ukko from the hoary past into Eternity! And the peals of these thunderous chants sound here, now and always... π
