The gowns were large, featured 3/4 sleeved with lace trim, and decorative aspects (this dress has tiny black velvet bows).
The dress Iโm wearing here is likely an antique but probably a reproduction. Its hand still a neat piece - itโs hand sewn, has a modesty panel in the front base of the dress, and weighs a ton.
Fun fact: undergarments back then were crotchless so if you wanted to get it on without bothering to remove all the layers you really could just lift your dress up ๐
