I’ve been with my girlfriend for almost 2 yrs now, and we’re solid—happy, stable, all that. But I’ve been carrying around this weird guilt because I have this thing for her best friend’s feet. I know how that sounds. I don’t want to be into them. But she’s always barefoot when she’s over—always—and I’ve caught myself looking more than I should.
It’s not like I fantasize about her or want anything to happen between us. It’s just this reflex now, like my eyes go straight to her feet before anything else. And the worst part is, I’m so good at hiding it that no one would ever suspect. But it eats at me. It makes me feel like I’m betraying my girlfriend, even though I haven’t done anything technically wrong.
I’ve tried to stop, to avoid being around when her friend comes over, but it doesn’t always work. I hate that something so specific and quiet is making me feel this much guilt. I wish I could turn it off.
