🕑 Added 2023-04-07 23:31:14 +0000 UTC I finally woke up and felt well enough to go on a walk. I haven't felt like this in over a week. Exactly 7 days ago the ER called asking me to come back asap ❤️🩹FOR THE LAST MONTH+ I’VE BEEN TRYING TO WORK out 3-4 DAYS A WEEK FOR MY SPINAL HEALTH, which I found ironic because I thought I pulled a muscle playing ring fit....& that's why I let the kidney pain go for that long.
THIS damn KIDNEY INFECTION TOOK ME OUT IN WAYS I've NEVER EXPERIENCED AND THE THOUGHT OF NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO GO ON A SIMPLE WALK ALONE WHILE LISTENING TO MY PLAYLIST WAS HARD. Really really hard. WHAT WAS EVEN HARDER WAS ASKING FOR HELP. I’M STILL PROCESSING THE LAST WEEK. I HAD NO IDEA HOW SERIOUS KIDNEY STUFF WAS.
I’m starting to feel like me again. i’ll return to twitch with a bang. hopefully next week 🫡 (*sorry this is in caps blame IG*)
thank you to every single one of you. i’ve been vulnerable and appreciative of the support and kind words. I promise to steer clear of health talk once I'm all better, I just wanted to explain why I was so open with you all, I have family, but i don’t like to be a burden. They(including myself) have gone through A LOT with hospital things and since it was only 2 nights in the hospital and they figured out an antibiotic quickly it didn't seem worth stressing anyone out. Plus i don’t want to maybe not be invited/or included on some trip or adventure because i was open about my disability or my body malfunctioning, so I’ve learned to keep that stuff to ourselves.
I have ankylosing spondylitis an inflammation condition and as long as I keep up on my physical therapy I am capable of most everything. It just takes proper preparation and I worry my disability gets us excluded. I am fortunate and I don't need a cane for my disorder yet.
So it was extra nice having the ghoulmmunity with me in the hospital. I did a tiktok live right around nighttime meds & I think I smiled the whole time. It was oddly comforting knowing i didn't have to be alone at the hospital if I didn't want to. So thanks for being there in a way while I was definitely not ok. I'm still not out of the woodwork, BUT antibiotics are working and I managed a walk! (which counts as a workout in my book). Just wanted to give you all an update. Ohhh I'll be showing off my lil heart crochet top soon too ❤️❤️🧶
