🕑 Added 2022-07-23 07:41:41 +0000 UTCIt includes a preliminary version of the new panel by panel reading, and I would love to hear about what do you think about it. It is pretty much work in progress but I think it is usable enough to start testing it.
Full changelog:
- Read comics are open from the beginning instead of the last page.
- Added continuous horizontal scroll mode.
- Added double tap for zooming, there is a setting to toggle it.
- Share/save current page.
- Panel by panel reading, it can be enabled from the crop settings or when zooming into a page, it includes some options to control its behavior. Only available for iOS14+.
- Tweaked some animations in the reader.
- Fixed current page tracking in continuous scroll modes.
- Fixed small jump when the options are shown while reading (only happened when the page was zoomed in).
- Fixes and stability improvements.

I added years ago WEBP support for that purpose, if I see HEIF gaining popularity in the comics community I will add it.

New Patron here with a feature request: What about supporting HEIF images (in the HEIC container format)? They have a huge compression advantage over JPG & PNG and are well supported by the built-in APIs for Mac/iOS/Windows/Android as well as the libheif library across all these platforms. Thanks for all your work on YACReader!
