Nolan’s stomach dropped. Everyone in the room knew the legend. The Nude Ledger was a way for the brothers to dial down their debt if it became too much. Nolan’s mouth went dry. He looked around for any hint of a joke. Nobody smiled. One of the juniors cut the zip ties and handed him a pen. It felt heavy. His hands shook with anticipation.
He took a deep breath and signed the contract.
The second the ink dried, hands grabbed him. His shirt was ripped straight down the front. Jeans yanked to his ankles so fast he almost tripped.
