Bully Reuinion - Part 1

The envelope had shown up in his mailbox two months ago, thick cream paper with his name written in looping cursive. Eli nearly tossed it out with the rest of the junk mail, until he saw the return address: Madison & Jeff’s Wedding.
He’d stared at it for a long time. Madison was the girl who had shared her lunch with him once in high school after his bully, Ryan, knocked his tray onto the floor. The girl everyone loved, who somehow never joined in on the cruelty. Of course she was marrying Jeff, the ex–quarterback who’d been Ryan’s best friend.
Eli almost didn’t RSVP. He had no desire to relive those years. But something in him, maybe pride, or maybe the need to prove he wasn’t that quiet, humiliated kid anymore, made him click accept on the online form.
Now the weekend had arrived, and the wedding was the kind everyone from their small town would talk about for years. A country club affair. A full itinerary: welcome dinner for select guests, rehearsal, ceremony, brunch. Madison had even booked an entire block of rooms at the same hotel “so everyone can catch up!”
Eli packed a suit, told himself it would be fine, and drove into the past.
The day of the “reunion dinner”, he sat in his car outside the banquet hall, fingers drumming against the steering wheel. He had told himself he was ready for this, ready to see old classmates, ready to laugh at the memories, ready to pretend the past didn’t sting as sharply as it did. But the thought of Ryan, who he knew would be here as he was Jeff’s best friend, made that knot in his stomach tightened.
Ten years. Ten years since Ryan had cornered him in the hallway, shoved his books across the floor, called him every name imaginable while the rest of the school watched. Mocked him for being gay. Basically full on tortured him for their entire high school experience. And now, Ryan was somewhere inside that hall, probably still the same arrogant grin plastered on his face.
Eli took a deep breath, adjusted his jacket, and forced himself out of the car. He walked into the warm buzz of the hall, laughter and clinking glasses filling the air. Old friends waved, calling his name. He smiled politely, shook hands, shared brief hugs. Nostalgia pressed against him, softening the edges of his anxiety.
And then he saw him.
Ryan. Leaning against the bar, holding a glass in his hand like he owned the room and everyone in it. Older, yes, but the same piercing gaze, the same careless smirk. The laugh which was loud, magnetic, full of charm that had humiliated Eli so many times and still made his blood boil. Ryan’s eyes found him instantly, and that grin widened, sharp and evil.
“Eliiiii,” Ryan said as if greeting him was somehow funny, and the smirk made it clear he remembered every moment of their high school history. “Never thought you’d show up.”
Eli’s jaw tightened. “I wouldn’t want to disappoint my old friends.” The words were polite, but the venom underneath was clear, and Ryan didn’t miss it.
“You had friends?” Ryan quipped back.
The bride pulled them into the group for introductions. “You two know each other, right?” she said brightly. Obviously forgetting the turmoil Ryan had put him through back in the day.
“Yeah,” Ryan said smoothly, voice dripping casual superiority. “I remember him.”
Eli’s nod was tight. “Unfortunately.”
Laughter erupted around them, but it felt like a spotlight shining on him. Ryan leaned slightly closer, voice low enough for only Eli to hear.
“Still the same little bitch, huh?”
Eli’s pulse jumped. “And you’re still the same asshole, HUH?”
Ryan chuckled, the sound infuriatingly familiar. “Guess some things never change.”
All night, Ryan found little ways to needle him. Joking about his work, his clothes, even his hair. To everyone else, it was harmless banter. To Eli, it was a reminder of every cruel word, every shove, every day he had spent waiting for it to stop.
And yet…there was something else beneath Ryan’s smirk, something Eli couldn’t quite place. A hesitation in his voice, a flicker behind the eyes…a crack in the armor.
As the evening wound down and people drifted into smaller groups, Ryan lingered by the bar, watching Eli from the corner of his eye. When he finally leaned closer, the tension between them thickened.
“I was just messing around,” Ryan said, voice casual, almost too casual.
“You always were, ‘messing around’” Eli replied, with air quotes. “But it wasn’t fun for me. It was actually awful. You made my high school experience hell” he admitted.
“Dude quit being such a pussy. That was what? 10 years ago. Move on.” Ryan said smugly.
Ryan smirked again, but this time it wasn’t all confidence. “Didn’t think you’d still hate me after all this time.”
“I don’t hate you,” Eli said carefully. “I just…remember.”
Ryan’s smirk faltered for a fraction of a second before he straightened and walked away. Eli watched him go, pulse still racing, stomach twisting in that familiar knot. He had come here expecting closure, but all he felt was the old anger, sharpened by the realization that the boy who tormented him was still alive, still dangerous…and still fascinating.
He suddenly remembered that day. That dreadful day when everything changed. Their senior year. Both of them 18 now and on the cusp of graduation. The smell of chlorine and sweat hung in the air as Eli pushed open the locker room door. Practice had ended half an hour ago; most of the team was gone. He just needed to grab his bag from his locker before heading home.
The sound of running water echoed from the showers. He hesitated. Someone was still there.
He turned the corner and froze.
Ryan stood under the spray, head tilted back, water cascading down his shoulders and over the defined lines of his body. He hadn’t bothered to close the curtain, the steam turning everything hazy but not enough to hide the sight completely. Ryan’s cock hung heavy between his legs. Bigger soft than his own was hard. It was magnificent. Eli had known he was gay from an early age, but now, looking at his worst enemy naked and…hot. He was conflicted. Eli’s breath caught not just from surprise, but from something heavier and stranger that clawed up his throat. He hated Ryan. HATED him. But seeing him like this. Vulnerable…naked…he couldn’t help himself from feeling aroused.
He told himself to look away, to walk out, but his body didn’t listen. All the years of resentment, of humiliation, of wanting Ryan to just see him…they twisted into something new, something beyond his wildest imagination.
Ryan moved slightly, reaching for the shampoo, and Eli felt the flush crawl up his neck. His hands moved down his chest, his abs, and slowly worked the soap into his hairy bush. It was too intimate, too real, like catching a glimpse into something he shouldn’t have wanted.
Then Ryan’s head turned.
For a split second, their eyes met through the steam. Ryan’s smirk appeared instantly, sharp and knowing.
“Well,” he drawled, voice cutting through the hum of the water, “if you wanted a show, you could’ve just asked.”
Eli’s stomach dropped. He stumbled for words, but nothing came out. Ryan reached forward and yanked the curtain closed with a hard metallic scrape.
“Faggot,” Ryan muttered from behind it.
Eli stood there for another second, heart pounding, face burning with humiliation. He hated him. But now he also wanted him. And in that single confusing moment, those two feelings became impossible to separate.
The reunion dinner had bled into after-hours chatter and goodbyes. Eli checked in at the front desk of the hotel and then rode the elevator up alone, the hum of fluorescent light filling the silence, the night’s conversations looping in his head.
Ryan hadn’t been around since that last moment at the hall and Eli was grateful for that.
The hotel bar downstairs was crowded with familiar faces. Eli nursed a drink, letting the warmth crawl up his chest until his shoulders began to loosen. Someone called his name across the room, an old classmate he barely remembered. Soon he was in a circle of people reminiscing, laughing about old stories that didn’t sting the way they used to.
He was halfway through his second drink when a man he didn’t recognize leaned over to compliment his outfit. He was handsome in a clean, professional way, with an easy smile and a confidence that caught Eli off guard. They traded small talk that turned flirty around the edges, a subtle current running underneath every glance, a small arm touch here and there. For the first time that night, Eli felt seen…and horny.
Then a woman appeared at the man’s side, slipping an arm around his waist. “Sorry, honey, took forever to get the drinks,” she said cheerfully before turning to Eli. “Hi, I’m Rachel, his wife.”
Eli smiled tightly, his stomach sinking. “Nice to meet you.”
He excused himself soon after, retreating to the bar for one last drink before heading upstairs. The warmth from the alcohol buzzed behind his ribs as he walked down the long hallway toward his room.
He was almost to his door when he heard laughter and drunken conversation stepping off a different elevator. It was Ryan, one hand at the small of a woman’s back as she stumbled with him toward the room directly next to Eli’s. She was giggling, tugging at his shirt, and Ryan looked exactly as Eli thought he would in a situation like this, smug, sure of himself, every move calculated.
Their eyes met. Ryan grinned. “Small world,” he said, voice low and rough.
Eli didn’t respond.
Ryan winked, pushed his door open with his shoulder, and disappeared inside with the girl. The door clicked shut, leaving Eli frozen in the hallway. He exhaled hard, went into his own room, and tossed his bag on the chair. The room was one of those that adjoined to the next if both parties opened the dividing doors. He was just two doors away from the man he hated and lusted.
A few minutes later, he heard it…muffled laughter through the wall, then low voices, a woman’s breathy whisper, kissing sounds. He groaned quietly and turned on the TV to drown it out. It didn’t help. The sounds bled through, faint but unavoidable. His pulse ticked faster, unwanted memories and feelings stirring in his chest.
He rolled onto his side, willing himself to ignore it, but then the thoughts came. What if that was him with Ryan. What if Ryan was making him moan like that. His dick began to harden and suddenly the TV was muted so he could hear everything going on next door.
Then came a quiet thump, the sound of a door latch, and a soft, hurried knock at the adjoining door.
Eli frowned, sitting up. The knock came again, sharper this time.
He got out of bed and cracked it open.
Ryan stood there, clearly naked with a pillow covering his crotch, hair mussed, expression caught somewhere between amusement and impatience. “Hey,” he whispered. “Got a condom? I usually go raw but she’s insisting!”
Eli stared at him, speechless.
Ryan’s grin widened. “Come on, man, you seem like the prepared type. I know you have one!”
Eli sighed and crossed the room, digging through his toiletry bag until he found one. He handed it over without a word.
Ryan turned it in his fingers, eyebrows lifting. “Not sure this’ll fit.” His tone dripped with that same mocking charm that used to crawl under Eli’s skin. Then, after a moment, his eyes sharpened with recognition. “You remember that time in the locker room? When you couldn’t stop staring? So you know how big it is. I usually use Magnums but I’ll try to make this work.”
Eli felt heat crawl up his neck. He opened his mouth to deny the allegation that he was staring, but Ryan shut the door without another word.
Eli stood there for a long moment, staring at the wood grain, pulse thudding in his ears. He hated that Ryan still knew how to get under his skin. Hated that the sound of his voice still did something to him.
On the other side of the wall, laughter and moans picked up again, muffled and distant, but Eli couldn’t stop listening as he slowly slid his hand down to his hardening dick.
