Eat the Dungeon discussion: Tutorials
🕑 Added 2020-11-24 00:27:24 +0000 UTCHello! Now that the weight levels for this update cycle are done, the only thing left at the tutorials. I would like to spend a week or two on them at most.
What I'd like to ask you all is: what things in the game would you like to see in the tutorials? What are things that were hard for you to figure out, or what things have you still not figured out? What would you have liked to know earlier?

I have no idea what the Bard and Engineer do. It might also help to draw a clear distinction between how to use the Knight versus how to use the Warrior, and so ditto for the Illusionist and the Witch. So, a bit of what the heck they are, and tips on how and where to use them for best results. That clear things up?

What specifically do you mean about "How to use unlockable characters"?

How damage is dealt based on affinities, Fullness/KO/Digestion, and character class traits, if nothing else. It'd help to know what each character's secondary abilities did (like the Warrior/Priestess/Knight/Engineer ability to siphon from their allies)

I think it would be fun to keep the tutorials simple, part of the fun on my first playthrough was figuring out exactly how everything worked and how I could have the most fun, wouldn't want to lose that feeling. I think a simple explanation of the essential mechanics, to help people get started and have fun would be best, imo.

A detailed breakdown of the stats might be fun! I've never really been sure whether or not it was better to ignore capacity entirely and just let characters get KO'd or not.

I’m still not 100% sure what the Metabolism stat does. The others are pretty self-explanatory (and the fact that each gals’ speed stat gets longer the fatter they get is a nice touch.)
