Updated Legendary Tier Character Designs Post
🕑 Added 2020-10-05 19:20:11 +0000 UTC
I will begin contacting Legendary Tier Patrons about this month's character designs for upcoming character classes. These designs will be held until their corresponding class is put into the game. There will be a poll with all the character designs, and the winning design will be the one used in game. Losing designs will appear in the game as NPCs.
You are not required to draw anything! You can simply submit to me a text description, and I will draw it for you! You can also provide image references, or whatever you think will make it easier to communicate what you want your design to be.
Here's the rules. I will reject any design that doesn't follow these rules, and you'll have to come up with a new one:
- The design has to be for a person 18 years of age or older.
- No infringing on anyone else's IP or copyright.
Here's some general guidelines. I will not reject designs that don't follow the guidelines, but I think they're good advice to follow:
- ETD has a lot of character designs that are one or two predominant colors, and each design focuses on a different color (warrior:yellow, witch:green, thief:blue, priestess:purple, bard:pink, spellblade:teal). This differentiates them visually and makes each one unique. A constrained color palette also keeps a design from being too busy and incohesive. Try picking a color, or a pair of colors, that aren't in the game already.
- Extraneous detail makes the design busier, harder to read, and harder to put in the game. Focus on 1-2 details or accessories that really exemplify the character.
- Having a unique body shape or gain pattern will really make your character stand out. Consider a body type and/or gaining type that isn't in the game yet.
Upcoming character classes are:
- Barbarian (weapon)
- Monk (faith, sneak)
- Alchemist (magic, buff)
- Druid (faith, magic)
- Trickster (faith, buff)
- Dancer (buff)
- Psychic (faith)
- Beastkin (weapon)
- Raider (weapon)
- Necromancer (faith, weapon)
Do not submit character designs that do not fit these classes if you want your character to be playable. I will not be able to put them in as playable characters. While there is plenty of development left for ETD, we're now in a phase where I have to start planning what the final game will look like. If you want your character to skip voting and just automatically be an NPC, that is fine, just let me know.
The 6 classes with the most designs will appear on the next class poll. Class stat lines are subject to change in the future.
I will stop accepting character designs and will close down the LEGEND patron tier once 100 designs have been submitted. So far we are at 61/100

Sounds like you're gonna have to start picking favorites!

Only thirty nine designs can still be submitted? That's worrying, got at least ten left in mind.
