Pet Roommate

I had no idea what was going on, it was like my roommate had been taken over by a different person. He had been a straight-passing twink when we first met, but now whines and higher pitches had taken over his voice. Not that that was anything bad, but he was now shaving his head instead of his entire body like he so diligently had before.
He was no longer a clean freak. He had begun skipping showers more often than not, which became more of a problem when he had started going to the gym. He constantly smelled like he had just worked out, losing his body fat building up his muscles. It didn't help when he started walking around our apartment in barely any clothes, but I don't think he even realized he was doing it.
The weirdest occurrence was when I accidentally scratched his chest like he was my pet when he was sitting next to me. I don't know why I did it, but it felt natural, slowly becoming a habit. He couldn't get enough, always coming to lay by me for them. He'd walk up to me shirtless, arms stretched above his head, waiting for me to run my hands through his fur.
It was strange to see him like this, but I couldn't help but feel a little bit of admiration for him. His body was becoming muscled and toned, and a thick coat of fur had started to grow over him. He was becoming a real dog, and I had to admit it was pretty nice.
