Talking about testimonies made me think about the Mormon church. I grew up Mormon in Utah and every so often they would have the majority of the first hour of Sunday service be people randomly walking up to the microphone and give their testimony. It was always awkward because sometimes there would be a long lull where nobody would give their testimony and the silence was bizarre. The more I listen the podcast the more I realize that there are a lot of similarities between Evangelical church and Mormon church.
