Hi Angela! I don’t think we’ve met in person, but we have mutuals (I won’t name drop 😂 but I’m in Bartlett). First I just want to send you guys all the support and love. Secondly, I’d love to hear you and Grant talk about going on this journey together as a couple. I’m thankful that my husband and I have been able to support each other through deconstruction/deconversion, but we’re still grappling with our changes in identity, the way our Evangelical family and friends perceive us now, etc. It would just be nice to hear the experience and perspective of another couple in a similar situation. It’s not something I’ve come across much. Thank you!

Angela!! We’ve heard so many amazing things about you from Drew and Grant, it’s so nice to put a (beautiful!) face to the name! My question- How as a parent are you handling your children’s’ religious thoughts and beliefs in contrast with the dramatic shift in practices and beliefs Grant (and I’m sure yourself as well) have experienced over the past year or so? I would imagine as kids raised within such a coercive, panoptic belief system that there must be some sort of spiritual vertigo having such a major shift in lifestyle? I know, personally, it took me years and years to undo most of the damage my Catholic upbringing caused, and it wasn’t until early adulthood I was able to actually see how wrong the church establishment actually was in so many ways.
