Completely agree. If they're safe enough to be in society, they're okay for rights afforded to all.

Guns are the great equalizer, but the second amendment also says "well regulated militia" and that could to be interpreted to mean a variety of things. The interpretation is what makes politics. It's worth being well informed, even to the point that the godfather of communism wrote: "Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary" and at the same time, believed the right to these tools of lethal force was an "alienable" right that should be able to be revoked from anyone, including the state, who used it anti-socially.

Mentally ill individuals should not be able to operate firearms similar to how blind people shouldn't be able to operate automobiles.

Common psr W. Pretty much if you’re the type of person who can’t engage in a healthy debate with someone of a differing ideology, you probably also think the bill of rights only applies to people that agree with you. That’s what I’ve noticed anyways.

Exactly. Just because you don't agree with someone does not mean they lose a basic human right. Also, just because you think someone should be able to exercise their rights does not mean you agree with what they do or their ideology.

I could not agree more. A right is a right, no matter their personal beliefs. 2A is for everyone and I'm perfectly fine with that.
and then it was gone
Similar 2A hot take: Either you are trusted outside prison with the right to own a gun or you belong in prison. The people that are willing to kill with a gun are going to be willing to kill with a knife, hammer, rock, fist, poison, pillows or anything else.

100% agree with you. It's a right. Right are for all.
