🕑 Added 2025-04-29 22:20:10 +0000 UTCI wanted to show you guys that I'm still working on things. Sometimes I get an idea and it just... won't leave? So recently a bunch of friends of mine got me into Xianxia things, and I started reading and watching them. And for some reason this idea came to me.
It's me, as a beetle, in a epic martial arts fantasy world.
I don't know if I'll ever release it anywhere beyond good friends and you guys. I'd need a lot of work behind it, including someone who actually speaks Chinese, traditional Chinese at that. But I've been having fun writing it at least.

Believe me, I'm with you. Part of my want to read this are the stories that DON'T do that. And I just like the idea of focusing on the small scale, things that a beetle needs to deal with. So you know. A Bug's Life done as a martial arts fantasy. And I don't want the main character to just become a super special powerful guy. I want him to be a simple guy who keeps running into bullshit.

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally can't get into xianxia. I've been burned too many times when it starts off/or as/becomes a power-fantasy that's just become the fuel to propel the "oh-so-powerful" main character and leaves the plot in the dust. I mean, I'll try it, only because you, as an author, have earned the credibility.
