Rebate Merlin 😆 I love it. I think, Raziol left town to stay with his Dad while Vivi and Sesam closed shop and left to learn more about her magic. Sulvain told Raz to find Vivi when he learned to control his powers...perhaps it took years. And when he came back to Paris, Vivi was gone. Perhaps it was then, lost and without any of his friends or mentor, he decided to travel overseas on the ship?? Maybe that's why they are all separated now?

...Okay well I feel dumb now because I have spent the many weeks since the end of the last chapter thinking Sulvain had been asleep for 200+ years. Not 83. *headdesk* Now I'm even more confused on how our boys didn't find each other sooner if Sulvain has been back for so long but I hope those secrets shall reveal themselves soon??? (Also since space travel is a thing when they do meet again lets strap Rebate Merlin to a rocket and blast him into space since I KNOW his punk ass is probably still around causing problems. 🤮)

Ahh, it’s so lovely! I’m getting Bridgerton vibes from this (though I guess it’s not quite the right time frame for the Regency era)! And that’s great that wherever he is is open to anyone dancing with anyone. I sort of expected there to be some kind of flashback (many flashbacks actually… they have a lot to catch up on), but I thought it would start with the French Revolution since he woke up a little before that. Now it seems we are in Victorian era England, perhaps? I know these types of masquerade balls were popular there around this time, but I may be wrong. I guess he’s in high society now? It looks like he is reminiscing about going to the ball with Raziol and missing him. I can’t help but wonder how they will meet again… I think someone had mentioned possibly a Queen concert, which would be awesome. However, I feel (like the cover suggests) it would be somewhere in academia or perhaps a World’s Fair or something where they can go to learn. I guess we will have to see!
