This was the extremely rare piece of personal art, I feel like I learned an absolute fuckload and had a big breakthrough when I made this earlier this year. I wanted it to encapsulate how I was feeling at the start of the pandemic, turning into something new I couldn't even fully know at the time. I feel like the pandemic's become almost second nature to most of us, but obvs when it happened it was like what, and made everyone reshape their whole lives and routines. Personally I feel like it just turned me into the most extreme concentrated version of myself, which has honestly been really nice to just focus on what I want and get distracted less. Anyways, thank you all for being here and helping support me on this scary journey ;w;b Hope y'all're good out there

god, what a mood. being confined, but at the same time being pulled/stretching out in a dozen different directions trying to make the most of it & stay sane. this is another of your works that rewards close inspection, I hadn't even noticed the tomes tumbling out of the cabinet before, and the translucency of the tendrils in the dusty windowlight is spectacularly rendered. glad you shared this here & explained the thinking behind it, I like it even more now!
