Lemonade Stream Extras - 18 More Drinks! (Patron Exclusive Video)
🕑 Added 2025-07-14 01:28:36 +0000 UTCWe had nearly 200 different drinks in our house to set up for last month's Lemonade Stream, so it was inevitable we would miss a few on the day of filming.
Turns out I forgot to try four of the lemonades I had bought, so this is a Patreon exclusive video of me taste-testing those lemonades, another Calypso I found, and 13 other iced teas and nasty mushroom-based tonics I was handed while driving around Toronto.
As per usually they start normal and get progressively more and more horrid as time goes on. I also go on a 20 minute tangent about health food culture and GMOs because I'm so sick of scam artists making dogwater drinks that taste terrible and cost a thousand dollars a bottle.

Technically this post should be a $15+ exclusive because I spent so much time prepping for this stream, but I haven't posted anything in the $5 tier for awhile so I wanted to give you all a something extra.
I've been doing a lot of work raising money for the Transgender Law Center through streams including yesterday's Dirty Laundry stream ft. Austin, Mo, Savvy, and Chula. Also been doing lots of writing. More for Winds of Change than Epithet, but I'll have to swap back starting this week. The WoC support conversations alone are at around 75k words. Oops. The 3rd draft of the next Epithet book was only at 45k.
It's hard to show of in-progress writing because it's kind of bad and very open to change, unlike video editing/artwork which tends to be more iterative. I've done a good amount of work on the Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn cut-down video and commissioned a lot of outside art and animation for that as well. I should do a preview of that soon. Here's a preview of the preview to whet your appetite.
I might end up doing a weird Avatar/Korra review thing for Patrons soon since Amy and I are rewatching them at night. Ooh. Exciting!

The other day I had these (allegedly) grape-flavored gummy bears that tasted overwhelmingly like pickles. The bloomed chocolate half-n-half lemonade is probably their long lost sibling. Yuck!

Idk if this is the right place to ask, but what is Bubble Water. Is it just carbonated/sparkling Water? Is it flavored? The internet is unhelpful. (I googled bubble water america. idk. half the results are like soap bubble solutions)

Chocolate tea has as already BEEN a thing, at least in the tea scene forever. Now adays it's either marketed as "healthy" (it's tea) or novelty but it just smells like chocolate and if you add sugar it gets close to the real thing.

Now I just want to add that to my TTRPG campaign. "The MemorTea brand of beverages was created in an attempt to aggressively target those drinkers looking to try something new, by making a taste that nobody could ever remember. The brand went defunct when the novelty factor wore off and people went back to their regular beverages of choice; what they lacked in novelty and mystery they more than made up for by actually having a discernible taste. Unopened bottles of MemorTea are now rare collector's items, and can fetch a high price with the right buyer."

(also, you mentioned around the 18 minute mark that you'd link that brewery that makes those #StopAsianHate teas? wouldn't blame you if the chocolate jumpscare chased that out of working memory.)

I'm a fool who is debating making a video about something Avatar related that would require deep diving the entire property so this is not. *Impossible.* I have seven hours of thoughts on Korra so I think I might mitigate it to the fact that fights in Avatar are really really cool and Korra's are really bad and why that is.
