Delay on the next video
🕑 Added 2019-07-31 16:58:16 +0000 UTCIf you listened to this month's podcast, you'd know that the next video on the docket is a kinda-sorta video review for both Crash Team Racing and Team Sonic Racing. I was hoping to have it done by now, but stress from various sources and other things in my life have lead me to not have it ready to go. I'm actually taking a break from editing the VO right now, so rest assured a lot of the hard stuff is done. Once the audio is ready to go, it's really just about putting it all together.
There's one problem: Friday morning I'll be heading over to my cousin's place to dog sit for them for 9 days. I can't bring my desktop computer, which means no video editing. I'll be bringing my laptop, but it's seen better days and definitely would not be up to the task of editing 200gb of footage. Not only is the laptop's tiny SSD nearly full, the SSD itself is likely dying. The laptop often freezes up and reboots a couple times a day, especially when under a high level of stress, so really, it's only really useful for browsing the web or doing some very light gaming (and even then, not really, sometimes).
Even if I work as hard as I can for the rest of today, I'll have to spend a significant portion of time tomorrow getting some things in order before I leave on Friday. It is unlikely I'll be able to finish the video until I get back.
It's honestly extremely frustrating to me, because this video is the kind of thing that could've been done more than a week ago if I'd actually sat down and properly focused on getting it done, but I just haven't been in a very good headspace as of late. Been wasting too much time dwelling on things I shouldn't and now it's going to cost me.
So it goes. Expect it some time after August 8th.
