Video Review: Sonic Mania (Early Version)
🕑 Added 2018-07-14 11:17:03 +0000 UTC I wasn't planning on having this be an early-access release, but Tristan, my boss over at tssznews.com, wants to premiere my review as part of their livestream on Monday. Since the review is done now, I figured I'd let you guys see it early.Note that this is a slightly different version then what will be going up publicly on Monday. The changes between that version and this one are so minor that you might not even notice unless I point them out.
Also, no, nothing is wrong with your computer. My recordings stutter quite a lot during this video review, and frankly I'm baffled as to why. With the stuttering I experienced in the PC version of Sonic Forces, I could see that as I played. I had no idea any of this stuttering was in my Sonic Mania footage until I rendered the video review, and it only shows up in videos recorded with OBS (videos recorded with Nvidia Shadowplay seem unaffected).
It could be a problem with Nvidia drivers (as it often is), it could be an old HDD that's showing its age (I had other problems while recording), or it could even be the fact that I just now noticed my version of OBS stopped automatically updating and I am behind on the latest version. Hopefully it won't plague future videos.
