Iโve been making content for Ableton Live for a long time โ my YouTube has over 70k subs and over 2.5 million views. My packs have been downloaded by tens of thousands of music makers. Up until now Iโve kept things going in a very traditional โbusinessโ way โ I make stuff and sell it and that earns me a very modest income to keep doing what I do.
But this approach is not great for a lot of reasons. For one, being a traditional business means I have to spend a lot of time on business things โ marketing, product and brand design, etc. โ and less time on actually making stuff. I make A LOT of stuff and some of it never sees the light of day because it doesnโt make business sense for me.
A fan supported model, like Patreon, will be better for everyone. With your support Iโll be able to focus much more on making cool stuff and less on having to figure out how to make that stuff commercially viable. Iโll also be able to get more direct input from you about the kinds of tools you need or the kinds of things youโd like to learn about.
