First of all, special thanks to:

While working on the LUA version, which obviously forced me to rewrite everything from scratch, I managed to come up with much better implementations for some of the cameras.
In this update, I bring these reworked cameras into Single Player.
This update took a LOT of work, and I am very excited to share it with you.
I made a few gameplay videos to show you the new cameras, since it is hard to put in text when the whole thing was redone. Click on the name of the camera to watch the video.
Cameras that were reworked:
----------------------------------------------------------------
On Foot First Person Camera - my main issue with the previous version was that it looked good in videos, but playing with it was super uncomfortable unless you enabled stabilization, which doesn't look as realistic.
I really wanted to keep the shaky head bobbing effect that adds so much to the immersion, without getting nauseous and barely hitting anyone because it is so hard to aim.
This time I started from making it comfortable to play with, and only then made it "prettier" without sacrificing the comfort.
I found another way of implementing the head attachment, and you now have the possibility to configure the amount of head bobbing to your liking.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Vehicle Chase Camera - from listening to your feedback, and watching your YouTube videos, I noticed that the Chase Camera is also very uncomfortable to play with, since you cannot look around with your mouse. In this version I implemented full mouse rotation that feels just like the default game's rotation. Full controller support, including buttons on your wheel while using ikt's Manual Transmission mod (which I highly recommend btw). The inertial movement of the camera is relative to the camera now, so it will work great even when the camera is not centered behind the vehicle. Another main difference between this and the older version is that the camera was too "attached" to the rear of the vehicle. I tried to solve this since the beginning of the mod.
The new Chase Camera is in fact not attached to the vehicle at all. I found a much smarter way of implementing the attachment and now the camera is no longer locked on the rear of the vehicle. You can limit the amount of rotation allowed until camera starts to follow via the menu.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Vehicle First Person Camera - this one didn't have any major issues, but I stumbled upon a couple "Assetto Corsa realistic GoPro POV" videos (like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZHGwEJ6fuc) and wanted to make it a bit more like it.
The inertial head movement is now relative to it's current rotation and position instead of the vehicle's heading. It is a bit difficult to explain in text, but I'll try with an example:
When drifting, the player will look at the direction the car is sliding to (another change from previous version) and the inertia will move the head relative to that direction, instead of just moving relative to the vehicle. The camera is much more suitable for drifting now. You can configure how much the direction the vehicle is going affects the direction that the player is looking at. Set Camera Drift Influence to 0 if you want the camera to always be aligned with the vehicle's heading.
----------------------------------------------------------------

REPORT REPORT REPORT
Since the cameras were redone, there may be some new bugs present, so I really need your help!
Please report any bug/issue you find ASAP, so I can release a hotfix. There will be another update this month, with some more polishes and a few features that I didn't make in time for this one.
Some known issues:
Motorcycle, plane and heli FP Cameras are bugged, will fix in the update
Camera goes too far to the side when transitioning between aiming and not aiming while moving fast in On Foot First Person
Thank you everyone!

Hey, if the game crashes without an error, you are most likely using 3.6.0 SHDNV. Install nightly build instead: https://github.com/scripthookvdotnet/scripthookvdotnet-nightly/releases/download/v3.7.0-nightly.26/ScriptHookVDotNet-v3.7.0-nightly.26.zip

Lukács Nagy
Wow man, that solved every problem i had. Thanks! And keep up with the good work!

Sometimes viewPoint V automatically turns off every time I play, how do I fix this? When the mode turns off, ViewPoint V disappears, changes to a first person view with no mode and experiences it.
Miłosz Pauliński
if your script would have implemented this i will for sure buy it
Miłosz Pauliński
to me, the most important thing is to make a default preset so that people who join the fivem server they have forced viewpointv first person camera with my chosen settings for example better offset and more smooth camera movement (not the default one)
Ruslan Libin
Hey man, I am about to release the LUA version this month. Your friend probably had the old C# version from past year that is discontinued due to many bugs, and overall not being to the standard I would want it to be. Regarding masks, glasses, and other props - yes, they will work properly this time, and the headless shadow is now gone too. I will for sure add the ability to force a certain camera view on players. I am not sure it will be available on release though. Are there any features that are super imortant to you that you think I should prioritize? Currently the mod only has the cameras themselves with default settings, without a menu, and without a config file.
Miłosz Pauliński
Hello Ruslan 2 questions, if i implement this on my FiveM server, can i force people on join to have this viewpointv first person enabled, second question is this first person camera working properly with masks, glasses, hats, causemy friend had this script and when he aimed down sight he had his hat clipped through camera?
Ruslan Libin
Sounds like you have two versions of ViewPointV installed at the same time. Delete ViewPointV.dll and leave only ViewPointV-nightly.dll
Lukács Nagy
now, i solved it, i were just dumb, but thanks. but i have another issue now. when i press f9, two menu appears. both of them are viewpoint v menus. so i cant really see anything when im in the settings. should i open a ticket on discord, or anybody had the same issue before?
Ruslan Libin
Hey man, did you delete the old free version before installing the full one?
Lukács Nagy
Hi Ruslan, i bought it, but i only got the free cam options. I think i misunderstood something, can u help me get the full version? Or the full version dont have gopro head view, and others like that? I have downloaded the free version before, and i got the same cams. After i bought the full, and downloaded it, i still got the same cams. then i redownloaded the game, to make it clean, and downloaded tha paid version, but its the same again. :(

Mylo Xyloto
Thanks for you kind reply
jaydenwasd
When I use the first person camera my character still has a headless shadow when my character isn't the main character models, so can this work for different character models?
Ruslan Libin
Hey, thanks! Long time no see btw how are you? I will check the Look Back, since it is working for me but I noticed that it is buggy. Will fix :)
Mylo Xyloto
Nice update! Just found the lookback camera(press "C" ) didn't work when in Vehicle First Person Camera mode

Hi friend, great job! I already paid for the subscription, how can I download the latest version?
Aryaman Yadav
when will this become free i cant wait to try this
Ruslan Libin
I accidently disabled the Q key because I was working on implementing leaning and free look. I disabled it temporarily since it's not finished and forgot to reenable the key. Will fix, thank yiu!

Is there any way to take cover while in first person? Just realised I can't take cover nor engage in fist fights, this mod is gold though, I love it.
Ruslan Libin
No problem, you got it!
DatPeteBoi
I think it would be awesome to add this feature back! I really liked being able to customize the camera for each gun. Some guns just look and feel better with certain camera angle which really adds a lot to the immersion. Please consider bringing it back if you can. I appreciate your hard work!
Ruslan Libin
Thank you very much!
imjim
Ohh, gotcha! Definitely gonna be supporting you here soon! Outstanding work that you and the others have done, looking forward to the immersive late night drives B)
Ruslan Libin
Hello, the old version was available for free for a very limited time before the update.
imjim
I just found out about this mod 2 days ago, it was free to download and now it isn't? Great update it seems! A lot of new stuff :D
Ruslan Libin
Thank you very much, this is exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for! Is there any chance you can send me a video of the shakiness in car first person camera? And the aiming transition too?
Ruslan Libin
No, I redid the camera from scratch, so I need to implement this again from scratch. But now all the weapons are pretty much centered, and they move much more than in previous versions. I'm not sure it's needed. Of course, if you think it is please tell me, and I will add it back.
DatPeteBoi
Can you still configure first person camera for each gun?
cy
Hello great update, but in playing just for a bit so far: ( i just saw the known issues list at the bottom of the post so ignore those parts below) any car i get into seems really shaky at above any decent speed, (like the hood, body of the car) & i tried tweaking some fov and disabling options but the car 1st person pov seemed glitchy other than that worked good getting into motorcycles 1st pov and it forces camera straight at the ground, tried changing options but didnt help, thought maybe this was bugged too when it just cranks 90degree camera angle down at the motorcycle/road, so kinda unusable Also the G force sensitivity multiplier values do not change when in the vehicle specific menu, but they work in the global menu. Also the aiming down the sights transition seems to be glitchy or isn't smooth, for example when i use the gta v default cam selected for aiming down so i can use the in game gun sights. whenever i click to aim down it kinda shifts/jerks then shows the iron sights, kinda not a smooth transition to shoot. These are just a few things ihave seen so far, update otherwise looks good and fun thought i would just drop some feedback
DatPeteBoi
Big update big surprise! Thank you for your amazing work!
Ruslan Libin
I do understand. Peaking behind cover is overall uncomfortable. I am working on that :)
Jaiden
Ok. Also, I dont know if this was a glitch but when I would take cover behind a vehicle using the VPV First Person Camera on foot, If I were to aim in and peak my head over and try and shoot. My reticle would only move so far and I wouldn't be able to hit a specific target. Sorry this was all over the place i hope it makes sense.
Ruslan Libin
Yep
Ruslan Libin
No problem, I will add an option to choose
jaydenwasd
nice update, for first person camera driving is it possible for the steering animation be like the last version where it used the 3rd person steering animation if you know what I mean?
Jaiden
Do I need to upgrade my membership again to unlock this update or is there way for me to download without repurchasing membership? I bought mine around October and it has since expired.
Ruslan Libin
Yes
Ruslan Libin
Thank you, I know what is causing this, will fix.
DrMar
Is the compatible with LSPDFR?
Luccy
If you change it to 1st person, aim it, and then go back to 3rd person, it changes to Far perspective. Is this an error? It's currently on Close for me.
