Sunfish City Dev log 7 - 0.0.12 plans [Now this will be for the next few patches instead]
🕑 Added 2025-12-06 23:10:51 +0000 UTCHere are my current plans for the current patch. These aren't set in stone and if I don't implement them all in this patch, they might get added in a future patch. Some of these are already implemented into the patch and test build, but I figured it'd be better to be more transparent about the upcoming update that's taking longer than the others.
I'll be adding the streamer job with the following categories: ASMR, Styling and Makeup, Gaming, Music, Adult Entertainment, and Cooking. Currently, in the Test build, you can access ASMR and Styling and Makeup if you want to get a feel for the streaming content. However, I haven't fully balanced streaming yet, and I will be changing a few things.
Next, I'll be removing the chest and butt trading restrictions for about 70–80% of the NPC's to bring back the flexibility found in previous patches when trading. I feel that the price increase was already a big enough change, so I shouldn't keep you from trading for them.
Now as for how you'll actually stream, you'll be able to purchase a few items from the Tech Store that will allow you to stream. However, you can't actually stream if you don't have a living space, so keep that in mind.
The cheat menu will allow you to unlock all the tech store purchases as well as the apartment immediately. I'm also planning to add a way to increase your stream followers.
I am also going to be adding a spot for NPCs in the apartment for now. I am not adding the housing trait quite yet, but I need a place for NPCs to go if you trade them the streamer job.
The bus will now have a way to go directly to your apartment. I was test playing the game and thinking how convenient it would be to just have a go home option for the bus.
Lastly, I plan to reimplement the shady shop with many traits related to streaming present. But be warned, streaming will have a lot of traits related to bonuses and penalties. Also, I will be decreasing how much certain negative traits are worth.
That's all of my current plans for this patch. There are more things I need to do, but most of those are changing and fixing mechanics I already put into this build.
