Al told Sol if he wanted to fuck Trixie it would cost 5 dollars, 7 for an ass fuck. So in Deadwood you can fuck 50 Chinese whores (nice) for the same cost as 1 white chick (meh). Sort of the Black Friday of prostitution so no wonder people were lining up for the deals. Al's advice to Merrick in the opening scene is so good it's worth stating it again: "Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back."
