Yep, I remember it coming out but never saw it either. Seems to be really liked here so I’ll check it out too.

Thanks for the great reactions as always. It's amazing how little fanfare this came out to, I mean I guess even in hollywood the truth hurts because unless you happened to stumble into this in the late 90s nobody even knows about the film. It's like berestein bears. Ghetto Superstar is 100 the reason I even know this, if I hadn't been on my fugees shit at that exact time I would have missed this entriely.
