Thought it might be fun to show a couple loose things I've had resting on my external hd for a little while - most of these are just loose thoughts or the beginnings of comps/ideas that I then abandoned for something else along the way. I really enjoy just messing around the playing with character shapes and lighting, it's fun to keep things loose and see what you can find for a process or approach to texturing an image.
The other part of this is the Serpentor box art that was shown at this year's SDCC - I was waiting for the full artwork to be revealed online so that I could share actual process for that one, but it's yet to be seen! So, I at least wanted to show how the box ended up looking! I'm pretty excited to get my hands on the final product, it's rare that you get an opportunity to draw basically the entirety of the packaging for a product, it was a lot of fun. Can't wait to share more on it, but I hope you like what's there - especially the tiny Serpentor sitting on Abe's lap.
