Discord Challenge - Bloody Roar Character Concept!
🕑 Added 2022-05-04 03:54:12 +0000 UTCHey!
Welcome to the next challenge - Bloody Roar Character Concept Challenge -
Bloody Roar is an older fighting game from the PS1 era, but you don't need too many details there - the main point is that you were a base human fighter(or mutant) that then transformed into some sort of animal/monster/alien/etc. The two modes of the character had corresponding traits that related to the transformation and vice versa - think somebody being a bit hunched over and slow before transforming into a turtle, stuff like that.
We'll be looking for -
- strong silhouettes
- clear identifiers in the base character that naturally lend themselves to the transformed state(clothing, tattoos, hair style, posture, scars, slightly altered/strange anatomy)
- strong simple color choices, immediate read on the character's personality(fighting game characters don't talk a lot so they have to convey quite a bit in their pose/expression/attire)
Please submit any work in progress to the 'Bloody Roar Wip' Discord channel!
(if you need help connecting your discord to patreon, check this link!)
There is also a thread for the Finals posted up when you're ready!
DEADLINE is Wednesday MAY 25th!
On Thursday I'll be streaming my concept for the challenge if you'd like to ask further questions or just follow my ideation process.
Thanks as always for your support! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
