Sonic the Hedgehog - high res + process
🕑 Added 2023-01-23 22:00:02 +0000 UTCHey!
Hope you're well! Here's a Sonic painting I just wrapped up this afternoon - I was trying to see if I could take the Zombie process(another post that should be up alongside this one) and apply it to a character that was a bit more simplified/graphic, turns out if worked! Feeling great about this whole approach and honestly couldn't be happier with where I'm at in terms of a workflow. There will for sure be a breakdown now that I have it all locked in.
I'm not entirely sure if this image is done, I'm probably gonna add some stuff to it to make it feel a bit more like a poster before I wrap it up for a print - maybe tails in the plane or some enemies floating around, not sure yet!
Also, please check out the Sonic timelapse video to see a bit of the process, that post should be up now as well!
Thanks as always for your support!

If you're referring to the "buff" Sonic, it doesn't look that ugly

I've kinda done that, I did a weird humanoid anime sonic a while back!

Hey Dave ... since you like to draw monsters, what don't you try to draw "ugly sonic"? :P

I don't know who you draw for, but so much of what you do resonates with me. Thank you.
