Bloodborne - update - Ludwig, Maria, Living Failures, Laurence
🕑 Added 2021-01-31 22:38:49 +0000 UTCHey!
Hope you're well! I wanted to post up an update today around the Bloodborne piece I've been working on - so far, so good, I think things are coming together pretty well! Something as ambitious as this piece was beginning to feel a bit overwhelming when it came to filling in all the tiny little details on all the bosses, but I think I've found something very helpful in the brush I used previously for the Dragon Quest VIII hero. This brush is called "plastic wrap", it's from Greg Rutkowski and all I've been doing with the brush is turning off the texture in the brush settings. You can see how the brush looks in the drawing of Ludwig, that was done solely using that brush set to 50% opacity using only black and white - you can also see how I used it to paint with on the most rendered Living Failure.
All I have left to draw now is the hunter and the background elements. Once those are in place it's just a matter of rendering - which shouldn't be too bad because so much of the lighting is already there.
little side note - the reason Ludwig has no hair in the current rendering is because I want to render the entirety if his body before doing in on the tiny details of his hair.
Anyway! I hope you like it so far, this piece is going to become less chaotic shortly!
Also - I recorded the entire drawing process of Ludwig, I'll have that as well as the previous thumbnailing video soon.
Thank you for all your support with this!
Dave

You can find it in the $6 pack on his gumroad its titled "Greg Rutkowski - Brushes." I don't think its included in his free pack but someone can correct me on that if I'm wrong but thats just where I found it.
