"Fuck You - A Basketball Manga" - Concept Art - 2
🕑 Added 2020-11-03 00:54:31 +0000 UTCHey!
So, here's the next round of concept for Fuck You - I needed to add more players to the team to get a handle on how to write them - it's very hard to write a character you can't see, so I tried to get some down to have a jumping off point for dialogue and character interaction.
So far I'm feeling really good about these - been tossing around a bunch of ideas between me and Dan(we write Steve Lichman together) - and I'm happy with the direction.
Looking forward to sharing more!
Thanks as always for your support!

Oh no, you've made a glasses guy look really nice and friendly I already want to tag him as my fave! Can't wait for it to backfire in my face, when he turns out to be some eldritch avatar of carnage or something. Am I seeing the spikes on stabby dude's gloves or is it just me wanting them to be there for clearly fair-play and very basketball reasons?

oh, that's absolutely happening

Loving the Takehiko Inoue Slam Dunk vibes!

You should do some awesome Chapter cover pages, like every manga has. Something you wouldn’t really see in a web comic, ya know.

Also would love to see this broken down into a tutorial. Get an understanding of your process in the creation/body language. The guy in goggles pose says, I'm not that good at basketball but enjoy playing. And the female character pose feels like she looks down on humans. Can't wait for more.

Don't know what I'm more excited for. To see how the basketball side play out or these creature character concepts play a in the roll of the story.
