Hope you're well! Here's a quick portrait I did of Mega Man from Mega Man Legends - I also included a small process gif as well. I wanted to play with keeping the Capcom style alive in the painting, hope you like it :).
Thanks for your support!

He looks like he could be the lead of some fresh boyband in 20XX, and that makes it so much better lol.

What’s your method for choosing colours, do you have a system you use to choose your shadow colours, or is it built up over time via reference and study? Thanks in advance for answering

Dang I didn’t realize your lineart is so clean. All the same lineart brush and in Clip Studio? Also got a pad? :D

Named my cats Data and Roll. Love Megaman legends, definitely underrated. Excellent portrait!

Very cool! This might be a dumb question and I think I know the answer, but what is the reason for painting warm tones into the shadows? My guess is that it has to do with reflecting light from the yellow background, but it looks like it was painted in before the bg was added so I’m not totally sure. Also am I right in saying that tone mostly appears in the core shadows? Thanks in advance!
