We have so many things planned for the Deep Dive - Film Club. We're kicking things off with the theme TOTAL WAR, and our 1st watch was I Saw The Devil.

Something I thought about this time around were the subtle religious themes. There's a cross and other religious iconography in some of the cars such as the angel wing lights. The soccer uniform Kyung-Chul puts on features a cross on it. I also thought about the title "I Saw The Devil" who is the 'I' Kyung-Chul or Soo-Hyeun? The old testament devil was more of an avenging angel of sorts, exacting punishment on those deserving. But if course it could also reference the explicit evil of Kyung-Chul.
