087 (Vol 3) HxH: Tombbound Power
🕑 Added 2025-05-22 05:03:02 +0000 UTC"This way, she drops her defenses completely and maximizes risk to amplify the counterattack! And since she's using her guardian beast, which feeds on her own aura, won't appear!"
"So her counterattack isn't from a Nen beast—it's her own Nen ability? She must be really confident in her strength..."
"Alright then! I'll see it through with you! If I take your life, that's a full 100 points. Even if I just uncover your ability, it's worth at least 90. In that case, Second Prince, forgive my offense!!"
Bang bang!!
The black pistol aimed at Camilla unleashed yellow-white muzzle flashes without hesitation.
Two bullets pierced straight through her chest and head with terrifying speed.
Boom!
Her body collapsed in a pool of blood. Her eyes stared lifelessly—there was no doubt she was dead.
"...Is it over?"
A soldier stared at Camilla's unmoving body, still unable to believe it.
"Don't let your guard down yet..."
Cautiously, the soldier crept closer, his weapon never wavering from her corpse.
When he crouched and reached out to check her body, he suddenly noticed a vast shadow creeping beneath him. A cold dread surged up his spine.
He whipped around—eyes widening in horror.
Behind him stood a bizarre, towering black cat in humanoid form.
Its oversized paws were raised, and its deep gray-black eyes locked onto him.
"Meow~!"
Before the soldier could even scream, the cat's two massive paws clamped around him.
A concentrated surge of aura erupted between its claws. In a heartbeat, the soldier's life was snuffed out—his body limp and silent.
At the same moment, the black cat's tail turned luminous white and gently lowered itself to Camilla's lips.
From its tail, a pristine orb of life essence, clear as jade, dropped into her mouth.
A miracle.
Camilla's eyes fluttered. Her fingers twitched.
The corpse that had been dead just moments ago... came back to life.
"Welcome back, Cat's Name.~"
Camilla sat up, unscathed. She looked up at her Nen beast and smiled affectionately, like a proud aunt.
Her ability—Cat's Name—granted her resurrection through sacrifice!
Now, every wound on her body was gone, her aura fully restored.
Death had strengthened her resolve. Resurrection had made her unstoppable.
"Good boy... I'm back. Who needs a guardian spirit beast? I already have you~"
The reincarnation cat gave a soft purr, then vanished with a gentle whoosh.
...
Footsteps echoed from beyond the cell door.
"Lady Camilla, are you alright?!"
The private soldiers of the Second Prince and Second Queen rushed in, only to find Camilla calmly fixing her tousled hair, blood still staining her clothes.
The scene was surreal. One soldier stepped forward, trying to remain professional:
"Your Highness, what happened?!"
"The First Prince's men opened fire on me and fled~" Camilla replied with eerie calm. "I'll hunt them down myself and make them pay."
With that, she picked up the dead soldier's pistol and strode out of the cell with cold determination.
There was no doubt—she was headed straight for Benjamin.
The Second Prince's guards were stunned.
"Your Highness, please wait!"
"If you move recklessly, it could play into the enemy's hands!"
Camilla didn't even glance back. "Enough chatter."
"Prince..."
They were about to chase after her when they were stopped by Camilla's mother, the Second Queen.
"Let her go. Let her do as she pleases."
The Queen had spoken. The guards could only stand in place, watching helplessly as Camilla disappeared around the corner of Area 1001.
...
Click clack!
Camilla's blood-stained figure, icy gaze, and weapon in hand drew immediate attention as she approached Benjamin's room.
The guards at the door raised their guns. Their fingers hovered over the triggers.
Among them was Furykov, recently returned from delivering Benjamin's message to Kurapika.
"Prince, please stop! If you take one more step, we'll be forced to open fire!"
Their eyes were sharp with tension as they glared at Camilla. At the same time, they relayed the situation inside.
"I'm Benjamin. Don't shoot. Let Camilla through."
As the situation teetered on the edge, Furykov received the direct order.
"But sir! The Second Prince is armed—she's dangerous!"
"It's fine. Just don't provoke her."
...
Bang! Bang!
The moment Furykov relayed those words, gunfire erupted.
A bright yellow bullet tore through the air toward his forehead.
"Second Prince?!"
Furykov was both furious and stunned by Camilla's sudden attack. He quickly activated his Nen to block the shot.
Even with aura reinforcement, the shot had come too fast—he was still seriously wounded.
He felt warm blood drip down his face and a searing pain from his scalp.
Turning to his comrade beside him—who lacked Nen—he saw the man crumple to the ground, a bullet hole clean through his skull.
"...So you're a Nen user too, huh? Well, I suppose that's expected from one of Benjamin's guards~ I was aiming for your forehead—you dodged that pretty fast. But why do you look so upset~?"
"#!"
Veins bulged on Furykov's face as fury twisted his expression—his scars and blood made him look downright monstrous.
But that rage only lasted a moment.
He quickly smoothed his face into a smile, masking his bloodlust behind forced calm.
"Heh... heh heh heh..."
His heart surged with killing intent, his mind echoing with twisted laughter.
"How lucky. Looks like I just found something else to enjoy."
