Not only did it show that Tyson was serious, but he'd clearly poured a lot of effort into this... sect of his.
You could tell just by looking at the hefty tome in my hands—it was nearly as thick as the Idiom Vocabulary Encyclopedia.
Even Izunavi seemed a little more impressed as he watched Tyson clasp the hand of the handsome guard and return to his room to rest.
"Guess I'll give it a read."
With that, Izunavi opened the book, now holding it with a more serious attitude.
Chapter 1: Love Will Win in the End
Izunavi: "…"
Snap!
He slammed the book shut, a cold sweat trailing down his forehead.
"I see… so that's the tone."
He wasn't the only one who had gotten their hands on Tyson's "Teachings." The other guards had also taken a peek, only to wipe at their foreheads in silent horror.
"In a way, the Sixth Prince is kind of impressive~" Izunavi muttered, both helpless and slightly in awe. "In a situation where you could die at any moment, he still manages to…"
"Wanna learn how to pretend you've read it?" a nearby guard, familiar with Izunavi, leaned over and offered.
"…Thanks, but I'll pass."
...
In a corner behind them, a figure quickly flipped through Tyson's book.
Chapter 2: Fight for the One You Love
Chapter 3: Love Must Be Protected at All Costs
Nine chapters. Eighteen teachings. Clone No. 1 read them all.
"As I thought… the kill-trigger ability really is connected to this Tyson Book."
He examined the faint trace of telepathic Nen drifting from the book.
Others probably couldn't sense it—it was cleverly hidden. Maybe only Kurapika's chains could detect something like this.
But with Ronnel's current strength, even a clone with just one-sixth of that power could easily see through the trick.
Suddenly, Clone No. 1's body twitched. He knocked away several one-eyed tadpole beasts that had slithered close without a sound.
The guardian spirit beast tied to Tyson's heart-centered Nen activates through this book.
Main functions: diffusion and collection.
In short, anyone who receives Tyson's book becomes a host for the one-eyed tadpole beasts spawned by the guardian spirit beast.
These creatures absorb the host's aura and... bestow happiness in return. The more familiar the host is with the book—or the more tadpoles attached—the greater the bliss. Naturally, disobedience leads to death.
That's the key. The ability forces obedience through euphoric control. Disobey, and you die.
This was why those handsome guards had looked so strange earlier when they gave Tyson a massage.
They'd received the books early and been possessed by the tadpoles. That's what caused that… peculiar behavior.
Two activation conditions:
The target must receive Tyson's book.
They must be possessed by a tadpole.
If even one condition is unmet, the ability fails.
Clone No. 1 received the book, but he knocked away the tadpoles. As a result, the ability didn't work on him.
But he wasn't really concerned about the ability itself. As long as you paid attention, it was easy enough to counter.
What interested him... was the writing.
Not the sappy "love conquers all" fluff, but the characters Tyson used.
Chapter 1: Love Will Win in the End
Aside from the little heart-shaped icon at the end, the first ten characters were written entirely in traditional Huxia—from Ronnel's previous life!
Everyone knows the most common language across the six continents resembles scrawled charms or symbols.
But the text Tyson used was clearly, unmistakably, authentic traditional Huxia.
Yet Izunavi and the others didn't look confused when reading it. In fact, they acted like they understood it perfectly.
Clone No. 1 could sense it—some strange power from Tyson's book was warping their perception.
It made them believe these characters were the six-continent common language, allowing them to understand the meaning without realizing anything was off.
But for someone like Ronnel, who actually knew Huxia...
"…Looks like I need to dig into the history of the Kakin Empire~"
...
Back in the Fourteenth Prince's area, Ronnel sat quietly, his gaze deepening as he received the update from Clone No. 1.
He didn't believe for a second that someone like Tyson—young, flamboyant, obsessed with handsome men—could've learned Huxia, often considered the hardest language in the world.
And to write a book in it, no less?
No. More likely, when Tyson was compiling the book, the influence of his heart-spirit beast bled through and imprinted the language into his writing.
And that beast? It originated from the pot-egg—a lineage that traces directly back to the roots of the Kakin Empire.
Which made the empire's history all the more worth investigating...
...
Just as Ronnel was wondering when to track down Hui Guo Rou for some answers—
"BiliBili"
The phone rang inside the room.
"This is Maor. Is the issue resolved?"
The voice on the other end didn't bother with pleasantries, diving straight to the point. It even asked for his home address.
Maor froze for a moment, then quickly responded, "Yes, it's been taken care of."
As he spoke, his eyes flicked toward Ronnel, who sat in room, as well as the two soldiers under Prince Benjamin's command, standing stiffly at attention nearby.
Vincent and Babimyna were no longer a threat.
"Good. I'll head to your location now."
...
Room 1005, Fifth Prince's Area
Second Lieutenant Maor hung up, gave a slight bow, and addressed the man beside him—Fifth Prince Tubeppa—who was typing intently at a nearby computer.
"I'm heading to Room 1014."
"Leave it to you~" Tubeppa said without looking up. "I doubt they'll tell us everything right away. Let's push the negotiations further in the next few rounds of questioning."
As he spoke, he glanced toward the soldier standing in front of him...
