127 HxH: The Strongest Assassin
🕑 Added 2024-11-17 08:14:01 +0000 UTCNina's mind reeled, overwhelmed by the ominous aura of death.
Kaizen gripped the bone with the embedded insect egg firmly, slashing through the thick, oppressive malice before him.
It felt like cutting with a blade.
Shhhk!
Kaizen could almost hear the clean slice as the malicious aura was split apart.
The dark energy was severed, halved by the peculiar weapon in his hand. But that was only the beginning.
A powerful suction force emanated from the bone, drawing the residual aura towards it. The malice spiraled into the weapon as if consumed by an insatiable hunger. The bone absorbed it all, and its form began to change.
The surface smoothed as the embedded egg sank deeper into the blade. A faint glow began to emanate from the weapon's edge, while the handle turned milky white, textured with a rough finish. The weapon's shape morphed, shifting from a crude cleaver-like design into a refined short blade.
Before long, all traces of the malicious aura were gone, consumed entirely.
Then, Kaizen felt a rush of information flow into his mind from the weapon.
"It's complete," he muttered, his eyes lighting up.
This bone, which Zeno had claimed held immense value, had undergone a transformation. Kaizen had spent countless days and nights refining it with his Nen.
Now, the weapon's power was undeniable.
"Sharpness, durability—qualities of a regular knife," Kaizen assessed. "But this blade surpasses any ordinary steel in strength. And its ability..."
He studied the weapon, his grip tightening as he tested its weight.
"This Rotten Knife," Kaizen named it, "is a tool of devastation. It doesn't just cut flesh, it implants its eggs into wounds. These eggs feed on the enemy's aura, growing and proliferating endlessly. The more aura they absorb, the stronger they become, creating a vicious cycle. Eventually, they'll drain their target completely."
Kaizen grinned slightly. "Perfect for me. A Specialist Nen user specializing in Beast Nen techniques, with enough stamina to outlast any opponent. It's ideal for prolonged battles."
Kaizen sheathed the knife, his aura receding until the blade appeared completely mundane—just a harmless-looking weapon.
He turned to Nina, who had been watching silently. Her head hung low, her expression clouded with conflicting emotions.
Kaizen rested a hand on her shoulder but said nothing. Actions often spoke louder than words.
"When you come out, there's a video for you to watch," Kaizen said quietly before leaving the room.
Nina sat alone, staring at the floor. Her thoughts spiraled.
Why? Why is my father like this?
Why do other fathers love their children while mine only brings pain?
Tears welled in her eyes, her heart heavy with confusion and despair.
In the living room, Kaizen handed his laptop to Shizuku.
"When Nina comes out, make sure she watches this," he instructed.
"Understood," Shizuku replied, glancing curiously at the screen but resisting the temptation to open the video.
Kaizen retreated to his room, his mind reflecting on the recent battle.
It had been a perfect execution of his strategy. As a Specialist specializing in Nen Beasts, Kaizen excelled in orchestrating battles from the shadows, controlling the flow of combat without exposing himself to danger.
Through his Nen Beast, Altan, he had gathered intelligence and surveilled the battlefield effortlessly, even infiltrating enemy communications. Meanwhile, his other Nen Beasts, Raiken and the Killer Queen, had dominated the fight with a combination of direct assaults and precision support.
Kaizen leaned back, contemplating his next steps.
"With the Rotten Knife, my combat effectiveness has increased significantly. Among C-rank Nen users, I should now rank near the top."
He smirked. "The next step is to develop the fourth beast. Its theme will be... absorption."
