124 HxH: The Strongest Assassin
🕑 Added 2024-11-16 07:57:30 +0000 UTC"The speed's impressive, it still surpasses Raiken."
"And her physical strength is remarkable."
"Even so, she's no match for Raiken Renya."
The two clashed again.
This time, there was no break. The fight continued in earnest.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Carlisle could barely follow Laziness and Raiken's movements; only the sounds of their clashes echoed. Kaizen, however, watched intently on the monitor, noting how many times they'd already exchanged blows. This battle was far more intense than Raiken's previous fight with Gluttony.
"So strong," Carlisle murmured, realizing the true gap between himself, Raiken, and Laziness.
"Do you need anything from me?" Carlisle hesitated as he asked.
Kaizen frowned. "Gluttony first, and now Laziness… Could they all be here?"
"Like the Shadow Beasts, an elite squad of underworld assassins? But even if they are, the strength of the Seven Deadly Sins should be below the Shadow Beasts'. Otherwise, during the Yorknew incident, it wouldn't have been the Shadow Beasts who took action—it'd have been them."
A lazy voice chimed in. "Go check Gluttony's corpse, now."
Laziness paused briefly to respond to Carlisle's question.
For fighters of their caliber, any distraction could be fatal. Raiken seized the opportunity, maneuvering behind Laziness in an instant.
With a sharp movement, Raiken applied force to twist Laziness's neck, intending to snap it. Boom! Raiken slammed Laziness to the ground. Laziness's neck was contorted at an unnatural angle—a lethal position for most people.
But not for Laziness.
Laziness slowly rose, stepping back and placing a hand over her neck. Crack! She forcibly snapped her twisted neck back into place.
Kaizen watched the monitor screen, his eyes narrowed.
"This Laziness… seems to have the Enhancer ability, giving her a body like iron."
"Laziness resembles Uvogin more than Gluttony. No wonder she's able to fight Raiken head-on. But it won't be easy for Raiken to defeat Laziness quickly."
"Laziness has impressive speed and formidable defenses."
"And right now, Raiken lacks anything that Killer Queen could use. Even if Raiken's overall strength surpasses Laziness's, he'll need a prolonged battle to win."
Kaizen made no move to support Raiken for now. From what he saw, Raiken's blade would be enough to handle the situation.
Carlisle approached Gluttony's corpse. "Master Gluttony?"
Carlisle carefully inspected Gluttony's lifeless body. The command from Laziness struck him as odd. Gluttony's head had burst—how could he possibly be alive? Why examine the corpse? Could it actually revive?
Just as Carlisle drew near, Gluttony's body stirred. It lunged toward Carlisle.
Carlisle's pupils contracted, his body frozen in shock. In an instant, Gluttony's body enveloped Carlisle, wrapping him tightly like a liquid cocoon. Only Carlisle's eyes remained visible, his expression one of struggle.
A low, beastly growl rumbled from him.
"Die!"
Carlisle's eyes burned with a murderous intensity. In a sudden movement, he looked straight at Raiken, hatred blazing in his gaze.
"I'll kill you!"
Kaizen watched on the monitor, and a familiar image came to mind. Venom, from the Marvel Universe. This scene was eerily similar—Carlisle was now a host for Gluttony. However, unlike Venom, Gluttony had taken full control of Carlisle's consciousness.
"I didn't expect Gluttony to have this type of Nen ability," Kaizen mused.
Seeing Gluttony's sudden charge, Laziness's eyes lit up. She launched a faster, more brutal assault on Raiken, aiming to open a window of opportunity for Gluttony.
With Laziness giving his all, Raiken was momentarily pinned down, unable to spare any focus on Gluttony.
From behind, a massive, grotesque mouth formed from Gluttony's shifting body. The maw was lined with sharp, jagged teeth—large enough to swallow Raiken in one bite.
A shadow cast over Raiken as Gluttony closed in, inching closer, closer…
The maw was about to close on Raiken when, suddenly, Raiken clapped his hands together with a resounding Snap!.
Laziness's eyes widened, sensing an intense force. She felt her body shift uncontrollably under this unfamiliar power, panic rising within her.
The mouth of Gluttony slammed shut, but inside, Gluttony's face twisted in shock. Raiken, who should have been swallowed whole, stood before him, untouched.
Laziness, on the other hand, had vanished from sight.
"What… just happened?"
For a moment, Gluttony was speechless. Raiken stood calmly, watching him.
Meanwhile, Laziness found himself enveloped in darkness. Something strong and unyielding held him in place, pressing tightly around him. Her skin began to burn, corroded by a strange liquid.
"Where… am I?" Laziness thought, struggling in vain to escape the suffocating grip.
Gluttony's eyes darted to Raiken. "Is this an illusion?"
