93 HxH: The Strongest Assassin
🕑 Added 2024-10-30 13:32:33 +0000 UTC"Then Grandpa Zeno, what if the elders of Meteor City can't meet your requirements?"
"Then we simply give up this task."
"But wouldn't that affect the reputation of our Zoldyck family?"
"Affect our reputation? Why do you say that?"
"Rejecting others' requests will make people think our Zoldyck family is incapable."
Zeno smiled.
"Kaizen, do you have any idea how many missions our Zoldyck family receives in a year?"
"I have no idea."
"Thousands. Tens of thousands, in fact."
Zeno looked out the window. "Only a few in our family can take on missions outside."
"Your great-grandfather rarely intervenes."
"I'm semi-retired myself, if it's not an attractive task, I won't take it."
"The only ones currently active are Silva and Illumi."
"Milluki is still too young."
"You're just starting out."
"All the housekeepers don't take on tasks."
"It's all about calculations, and when added up, it equates to three people's worth of effort."
"With tens of thousands of commissions, how can we be that busy?"
"Thus, it's inevitable that we refuse some commissions."
"In the past, we chose only the most cost-effective tasks from the myriad of requests."
"If it's too simple, we won't bother."
"As for the difficulty, that depends on the commission's terms."
"If the pay is good, we'll consider it, if not, we won't."
"However, the premise is 100% certainty."
"We are assassins."
"Killing is merely a job for us."
"Who would risk their life for a job?"
"That would be utterly foolish."
Kaizen nodded. "I understand, Grandpa Zeno."
Not long after, Zeno's phone rang again.
He picked it up and said, "I see, I'll be there as soon as possible."
Zeno turned to Kaizen. "The elders of Meteor City have met my conditions. Silva is on his way. I'll leave shortly. Find a safer place."
"You could go to Heavens Arena, or perhaps the Exorcist Park like last time."
Zeno's reason for leaving Zoldyck Manor was to protect Kaizen in secret, but now there was a mission conflict. The Kute Gang were too dangerous for Zeno to allow Kaizen to go out.
For the past four weeks, Zeno had investigated and found no threats aimed at Kaizen, hence this arrangement.
After the mission, Zeno would return as soon as possible.
"Grandpa Zeno, can I go and watch the battle?"
"No."
Zeno's refusal was firm.
"Your strength is still too weak."
Even if Kaizen had used his own Nen and caused old O to lose his arm, it didn't mean he was strong enough to handle what lay ahead. If the Kute Gang targeted Kaizen, his danger level would rise significantly.
"Grandpa Zeno, I'm not going to the front lines."
Kaizen explained, "I just want my Nen Beast to observe."
With that thought, Raiken appeared beside him, accompanied by Killer Queen.
"Grandpa Zeno, I want Raiken to accompany you, equipped with a prop that utilizes Killer Queen's ability. It could prove useful."
"Raiken is my Nen Beast, even if it's destroyed, I can recreate it at any time."
"And the connection between my Nen Beast and me isn't that strong."
"Even if they have a special Nen, they can't harm me through the Nen Beast."
Zeno looked at Raiken, hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
"Fine."
Kaizen was eager to stay informed about the battle. However, Zeno would never agree to let him go to the front lines, and Kaizen wasn't reckless enough to risk his life just to watch.
But sending his Nen Beast was a different story.
Kaizen's Nen allowed Raiken to operate at a distance. Once Raiken was aware of Kaizen's location, he could relay information directly. Though visual synchronization wouldn't be possible at such a distance, it wasn't a significant concern.
"It's almost time, I have to leave."
"Goodbye, Grandpa Zeno."
Raiken followed behind Zeno.
The automatic operation type Nen Beast had its advantages in such situations.
On the other side, the Hunter Association had Hunters who had accepted the task.
Kaizen gazed out the window. "I wonder who will take down the Kute Gang this time."
In the original story, it was Ging Freecss who defeated the Kute Gang.
A powerful Nen user, he was already ranked among the top five Hunters in the world at a young age, alongside Netero and Maha Zoldyck.
Who the remaining two were, Kaizen didn't know, but they certainly wouldn't be weak.
Ging Freecss's strength surpassed even Zeno and Silva.
Yet now, with Kaizen's involvement, the situation had shifted slightly.
The Kute Gang had crossed paths with Kaizen and Zeno on Meteor City, and old O had even lost an arm.
The elders of Meteor City must have hired the Zoldyck family for this reason.
"Grandpa Zeno and Uncle Silva are only responsible for one of the Kute Gang members."
"Who will handle the other three?"
Kaizen was curious.
The wild beast kept retreating, and they had been at it for a long time.
However, a disparity in strength remained.
"Boom!"
Old K grinned. "Finally caught you!"
"I've chased you for hours, like a mouse, and now you're nearly exhausted, right?"
"Die!"
The shirtless young man was struck by Old K's Nen Beast attack and flew back, his chest caving in.
Meanwhile, the twins were badly injured, barely holding on.
The bald butcher, the suited man, and the white-haired boy were faring better.
If it weren't for the ongoing support from the elder's subordinates, the wild beast would have fallen long ago.
As for the Wild Beast member who had fled earlier, he dared not return.
"How long until they arrive?"
When the elder received a report from his subordinate, his face darkened.
"Elder, the Hunters from the Association and the Zoldyck family are on their way. They're moving quickly, and I believe they will arrive soon."
But the elder remained uneasy.
He was uncertain how long the Wild Beast and his men could hold out.
If they couldn't last, it would soon be their turn.
The elder didn't want to die.
He didn't want to perish at the hands of the KUTO thieves.
At that moment, some elders regretted their earlier decisions.
"If we hadn't let the wild beast out, would the Kute Gang of Thieves have abandoned their plans?"

just caught up! very good so far, only a few small errors of little consequence. I have a question, however, why do I not see any of your uploads in my notifications? I have to manually check your page to see new uploads, which doesn't happen with anyone else...
